Ryan Villopoto moved one step closer to repeating as AMA Supercross Champion with his seventh win of the season at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada. With his chief rivals not making the trip north of the border due to various injuries, Villopoto can clinch the 2012 championship as soon as next weekend’s race at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas, if they continue to be out of action. Greg Tracy to Ride Amarok P1A Electric Sportbike for Pikes Peak International Hill Climb

Canada’s Amarok Racing has secured quite a coup in signing six-time Pikes Peak International Hill Climb winner Greg Tracy to ride its P1A electric superbike for the 2013 edition of the event. Tracy has six class victories in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, winning in 1996, 1999, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010. His victories have come riding motorcycles from several manufacturers: Honda, Yamaha, BMW and, more recently, Ducati.

Report: Honda to Increase NC700 Engine Displacement

British site Visordown reports Honda will release an updated version of its NC700 series with a larger engine for 2014. The larger versions will reportedly carry an extra 50cc, pushing its displacement to 720cc from the current 670cc used on the NC700X, NC700S and Integra scooter. But why would Honda introduce a larger engine so soon after introducing its NC line in the 2012 model year?
