And when you take a bike like that out on the street, you re in for a good time. The CRF250L also delivers on the practical side. It s a fuel miser, getting an estimated 73 miles per gallon*. The user-friendly powerband is ideally suited to navigating city streets. And the low-end torque comes in handy on trails and in traffic. So if you want a bike that delivers the best of both worlds, look no further than the 2014 CRF250L. Features: Packs a punch. At the heart of our CRF250L lies a fuel-injected single-cylinder engine, complete with an electric starter, counterbalance, and double-overhead cams. So you get smooth, consistent power packing loads of low- and mid-range torque. Comfort is key. Out on the trail, you want a bike that allows for upright seating, keeping you ready for whatever lies around the next bend. And you ll find those same qualities come in handy when riding in traffic. It s comfortable, neutral, and makes maneuverability a breeze. Pinches pennies. Great mileage may not be the number one reason for riding the CRF250L. But when you re getting up to 73 miles per gallon*, you re getting more than an added bonus. That s because great economy is always welcome, whether you re commuting or riding around on weekends.

Isle of Man TT 2014: Monster Supersport TT 1 Results
Mon, 02 Jun 2014Gary Johnson narrowly beat out Bruce Anstey to take the first of two Supersport races at the 2014 Isle of Man TT. Riding the Daytona 675, Johnson’s win was the first for Triumph since 2003, ironically, with Anstey taking the victory that year in the Junior 600cc class. The race started three hours behind schedule due to fog, but once it began it quickly became a duel between Johnson and Anstey.
Back when GPs were really good: Part 2
Tue, 01 Jan 2013Rossi versus Gibernau at Brno in 2003. Most of the time Rossi and Gibernau came together, it was a classic in the making but while Rossi on the factory Honda hunting down Gibernau on the satellite Honda is well worth watching, the threat of a looming Bayliss on the Ducati makes this one even better. Gibernau, fresh from a win in Germany at the previous round - having beaten Rossi to the line by 0.060 seconds - was full of fight.
Buying countless tatty bikes. And that Marquez fella
Fri, 10 May 2013A South African friend of mine called Trevor Binder told me last weekend I’m quite obviously in the advanced stages of a terrible disease. He recognises the affliction because he admits to suffering from the same condition for many years and so far hasn’t found a cure. He says he can’t stop collecting bikes and while I didn’t think I had a problem, last weekend he pointed out I should be careful as I’m starting to acquire bikes at an alarming rate. I wasn’t really worried about spending a modest amount of cash an old KTM 125 race bike, a 350 LC and a Fizzy over the past six months but Trevor says I’m on a slippery slope. He says it always starts with bikes that have some sentimental value but then swiftly moves on to buying any old tat. Trevor is a wealthy man with dozens of nice bikes in his collection but more recently has been on Gumtree bidding for £150 Solex front wheel drive step - thrus, and doesn’t know why. Closer to home, James Whitham has recently confirmed he may also have these symptoms and is actively seeking therapy. I’ll be monitoring the situation from now on but in the meantime if anyone hears of a reasonably priced Raleigh Wisp for sale please let me know.
