Honda CRF description
2014 HONDA CRF 450R, There is no second place. Riders and industry folk alike raved about the 2013 CRF450R. And , weve given them even more to love. For 2014, theres new intake and exhaust ports, a new Dual-Timing PGM-FI fuel injection setup, and redesigned muffler internals to boost torque output and increase throttle response. The CRF450R is designed for the way riders ride today. Theres more whipping. More scrubbing. So we built a bike that takes weight off the bikes ends, and concentrates mass towards the bikes center. The first thing youll notice is our revolutionary air fork. Its nearly two pounds lighter than a conventional coil-spring fork, taking weight off the front. And now with improved oil flow, this year the fork is even more responsive, delivering even better handling. And new clutch springs to enhance lever feel. The CRF450R also sports a compact dual exhaust, tucked closely to the frame to further enhance mass centralization. And with better exhaust flow, weve even managed to increase horsepower. Theres also our next-generation aluminum chassis, designed to help lower the center of gravity. All in all, the 2014 CRF450R takes the best and lightest bike in its class and makes it even better. And, in doing so, plants it firmly ahead of the pack.

Stoner Tests Honda RCV1000R MotoGP Production Racer
Thu, 03 Oct 2013Retired two-time MotoGP Champion Casey Stoner returned to the track this week to test Honda‘s RC213V racer as well as the company’s new RCV1000R production racer at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit in Japan. This was Stoner’s first test on the production racer after rain cut short a previous test session in August. The weather again threatened to derail Honda’s testing plans, wiping out the first day of the two-day test but Stoner was able to finally able to put in some laps on the production racer and came away impressed.
Sheepish Maverick Vinales Returns to Blusens, Issues Apology
Tue, 23 Oct 2012A contrite Maverick Vinales has returned to the Blusens Avintia Moto3 team days after his brash, and admittedly hasty departure at this past weekend’s Malaysian Grand Prix. The FTR Honda rider quit the Blusens team on Oct. 10, returning home from Sepang without once hitting the track.
BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates
Tue, 03 Jan 2012In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.
