Honda CRF description

2013 Honda CRF450R, Everyone is going to remember 2013 as the year Honda took the 450 class and blew it WIDE open with the totally redesigned CRF450R.Huge changes are going to jump out at you. First is the CRF450Ra??s all-new air-fork front suspension. Nearly two pounds lighter than a coil-spring fork, it offers easier adjustment, less internal friction, and even better handling. Next, an all-new twin-spar aluminum frame. Youa??ll see some big changes in the steering-head area. Thata??s because the frame is designed specifically to work with the new fork.Check out the CRF450Ra??s short radical new twin exhaust. The system moves the mufflers in way closer to the bikea??s center of mass. Theya??re super short and compact, and work in perfect concert with the 2013 modela??s new bodywork to make this the most flickable CRF450R ever!In fact, everywhere you look youa??re going to see upgrades this year: The engine gets a new piston shape, porting, and valve timing, along with more compression for more power. The radiators are smaller and flow more air. The clutch is totally redesigned with six springs for better feel at the lever. Even the footpegs and tires get the Honda touch.Without a doubt, the 2013 CRF450R is the most dialed-in bike and still the lightest weight in its class. Do your part, and youa??re going to be a permanent fixture on the podium with this one.Air Fork = The Future: The CRF450Ra??s new 48mm inverted KYB PSFA? (Pneumatic Spring Fork) air fork is a cannon shot in the suspension revolution. Ita??s almost two pounds lighter than a conventional-spring fork, is super easy to tune (all you need is an air pumpa??no special tool needed) and totally eliminates internal spring-to-forkleg friction.Twice As Good: Why go to a twin-muffler setup on the new CRF450R? The mufflers are way shorter, lower and tucked in much closer to the bikea??s center of mass. That helps make the CRF450R even easier to whip and scrub, and also contributes to the bikes improved power, while keeping it quiet at 94db.The Next Generation Of Best: An all-new twin-spar aluminum chassis was designed specifically to work with the CRF450Ra??s new air fork. The twin spars are lower to improve handling and to lower CG. The result? A perfect match of suspension action, steering feedback, and chassis stiffness and compliance.

Ronax 500 – the Street Legal Two-Stroke GP Replica

Mon, 09 Jun 2014

After teasing us for nearly two months, German brand Ronax has revealed its 500cc two-stroke sportbike. Ronax isn’t saying it’s a street-legal replica of the Honda NSR500 that Valentino Rossi rode to win the 2001 Grand Prix world championship – probably because they legally can’t – but that’s essentially what the 500 is. WSBK 2013: Donington Park Race Report

Mon, 27 May 2013

Tom Sykes had an outstanding weekend in front of his home fans, scoring a pair of wins at the World Superbike Championship round at the United Kingdom’s Donington Park. The Kawasaki racer led every session from first qualifying onwards, before leading all 23 laps in both races for the double. The double victory brings Sykes to within 4 points of series leader Sylvain Guintoli who had a decent weekend himself with a pair of podium finishes.

A real Monster of a bike

Wed, 13 Jun 2012

The bike above was once a Ducati Monster S4. It was restyled by Italian custom builder Ferruccio Codutti who took a year crafting the look out for aluminium for one of his customers. Ignoring the grotesque nose, Codutti's work is impressive as the front end was made by the man himself.
