Honda CRF tech info
Honda CRF description
2013 HONDA CRF250X, Track-proven. Trail ready. Using technology from our National-Championship-winning MX machines, the CRF250X is powered by a four-stroke Unicam engine specially modified for off-road riding. Weve also tuned the suspension for the trails, and given the rugged transmission wide-ratio gearing to handle conditions in both real-world riding and closed-course racing. Best of all, its electric starter puts you on the fast track with the push of a button, and is a godsend on rocky trails or gnarly uphills. The closer you look at a CRF250X, the more youre going to like it. And thatll go double when you actually ride it.

For 2014, Honda is upping the ante with the CBR1000RR SP edition. No, it still doesn’t have any electronic aids, but it does have a bevy of top shelf suspension components.
Honda Announces 400cc Version of 500-Series Engine
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Honda has revealed a new, smaller-displacement variation of the 470cc parallel-twin engine introduced on its new CBR500, CB500F and CB500X models. The new engine has a bore of 67mm, just like Honda‘s 500-series engine, but a stroke of 56.6mm instead of the longer 66.8mm. The result is an engine displacement of 399cc, which makes the new engine a better fit for markets such as Japan license restrictions are much stricter for engines larger than 400cc.
Pikes Peak: Beware of Falling Hondas + Video
Thu, 26 Jun 2014With 12.22 miles of road winding its way to the 14,115-ft. summit, Pikes Peak International Hill Climb can be a daunting and dangerous challenge. Just ask our own Troy Siahaan who competed in last year’s “Race to the Clouds“ and broke his foot after crashing and falling off a 15-foot drop.
