2013 HONDA CRF450R, Winning Is Everything. Everyone is going to remember 2013 as the year Honda took the 450 class and blew it WIDE open with the totally redesigned CRF450R. Huge changes are going to jump out at you. First is the CRF450R s all-new air-fork front suspension. Nearly two pounds lighter than a coil-spring fork, it offers easier adjustment, less internal friction, and even better handling. Next, an all-new twin-spar aluminum frame. You ll see some big changes in the steering-head area. That s because the frame is designed specifically to work with the new fork. Check out the CRF450R s short radical new twin exhaust. The system moves the mufflers in way closer to the bike s center of mass. They re super short and compact, and work in perfect concert with the 2013 model s new bodywork to make this the most flickable CRF450R ever! In fact, everywhere you look you re going to see upgrades this year: The engine gets a new piston shape, porting, and valve timing, along with more compression for more power. The radiators are smaller and flow more air. The clutch is totally redesigned with six springs for better feel at the lever. Even the footpegs and tires get the Honda touch. Without a doubt, the 2013 CRF450R is the most dialed-in bike and still the lightest weight in its class. Do your part, and you re going to be a permanent fixture on the podium with this one. Air Fork = The Future. The CRF450R s new 48mm inverted KYB PSF (Pneumatic Spring Fork) air fork is a cannon shot in the suspension revolution. It s almost two pounds lighter than a conventional-spring fork, is super easy to tune (all you need is an air pump no special tool needed) and totally eliminates internal spring-to-forkleg friction. Twice As Good. Why go to a twin-muffler setup on the new CRF450R? The mufflers are way shorter, lower and tucked in much closer to the bike s center of mass. Specifications for the 2014 Honda CBR300R have surfaced from CIMAMotor in Chongqing, China, where the new small-displacement sportsbike made its debut. Join the CBR 300 Forum According to the spec sheet, will be powered by a fuel-injected 286cc single-cylinder engine, with a bore of 76mm and 63mm stroke. Based on this, we surmise the engine is indeed based on the CBR250R’s engine which has a similar 76mm bore, but with a 55mm stroke.

Florida to Alaska and Back on a Honda CBR125R

A 65-year-old man from Windsor, Ontario, Canada is attempting a cross-continent ride from Key West, Fla., to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska and back, on a Honda CBR125R. Bob Munden of Windsor is attempting to set the record for the smallest motorcycle to make the trip from the southernmost accessible point in North America to the northernmost point, and back. A print shop owner with a stable of five motorcycles, Munden will attempt the trip on the 124.7cc single-cylinder four-stroke Honda CBR125R, an entry-level sportbike model Honda offers in Canada.
