Honda CRF description
2012 HONDA CRF250X NO FEES, EVER! **NO FEES, EVER!**, EVER!, Superior Ergonomics: Placing the rider's legs at the narrowest part of the frame improves comfort and handling. Removable Subframe: Removable rear subframe allows easier access to the engine and shock and simplifies maintenance. Works-Style Brakes: Compact twin-piston front brake caliper, anodized-aluminum brake pistons and lightweight 240mm front disc increases stopping power while minimizing unsprung weight for improved turning and handling. HRC works-type rear brake system adds a 240mm brake rotor to its integrated rear master-cylinder and fluid reservoir, a set-up that eliminates the separate reservoir and hose. 18-Inch Rear Wheel: 18-inch rear wheel features same lightweight rear hub and HRC works-type lightweight-aluminum spoke nipples as used on CRF450R. LED Taillight: LED taillight integrated into rear fender. It's light, compact, and bulletproof. Electric Starter: Electric start system ensures trouble-free starting in all conditions. Electric starter also drives the clutch side of the crankshaft to provide superior lubrication to starter gears while producing a narrow engine with a short, strong crank. Renthal Handlebar: Aluminum Renthal handlebar (971 bend) is rubber-mounted to help reduce rider fatigue and improve comfort. Dual Radiators: Dual radiators feature a refined core area for improved heat dissipation compared with conventional dual-radiator designs. Coolant recovery tank is located in front of the engine between the frame downtubes for improved center of gravity. Coolant tank is protected by a plastic skidplate. Compact, Lightweight 249cc Unicam Engine Gear-Driven Counterbalancer: Gear-Driven Counterbalancer reduces vibration and drives the water pump. Eight clutch plates provide the surface area necessary to handle the engine's massive torque, while carefully matched clutch springs provide a light feel at the lever. Twin-Sump Lubrication: Twin-sump lubrication system separates the oil supply for the crankshaft, piston and valve train from the clutch and transmission. This ensures a cool supply of oil to the clutch, eliminates clutch and transmission material contamination of the engine oil, reduces the amount of circulating oil and permits the use of a smaller oil pump.

Magneti Marelli to Supply Electronics System to MotoGP Teams
Wed, 26 Sep 2012It’s no secret that promoter Dorna Motorsports has been trying to push a standardized electronics control unit for teams in the MotoGP World Championship. The lack of a top-tier electronics package has been one of the biggest challenges faced by MotoGP’s claiming rule teams, and a spec ECU would narrow the gap between the CRT bikes and the factory prototypes. The manufacturers competing in the series, Honda, Ducati and Yamaha, understandably are resistant to the idea considering the effort they’ve put in to develop their electronics systems.
Honda CB900F Bol D'or
Sun, 24 Feb 2013Slick videos shot on HD GoPros (complete with dubstep soundtracks) are now common place. But back in the late 80s, self shot videos were much thinner on the ground, due to expensive camcorders that were about the same size as a petrol tank and probably just as heavy too.In a blast from the past, 'Old love' features a Honda CB900F Bol D'or and was posted online a few days ago by the self-proclaimed 'one of the quickest 'drivers' in Langenhagen, Germany': Jan Rosanka. The Blue Order remix is a great choice to accompany the short but my favourite scene is the friendly 'hi' to camera followed by the middle finger.
VFR800F Coming to US as 2014 Honda Interceptor
Tue, 04 Feb 2014We’ll admit, we weren’t confident Honda would import the VFR800F to these shores when it was first announced at last fall’s EICMA show in Milan. As such, we are pleased to report American Honda is bringing back the V-4 sport-tourer to the U.S. market as the Honda Interceptor.
