Honda CRF description

I purchased this used CRF450R to ride with my son at the beginning of the season, unfortunately he has decided he doesn't want to ride (see other bikes/gear for sale by me) so its up for sale.  It is in great condition.  The PO changed all the fluids prior to sale to me.

I purchased it locally off someone who stated he rode it mostly on trails and some light MXing, he stated he was the second owner and had had it about 3 years. He stated he had no issues or problems with the bike during his ownership.

I have only rode it a handful  times and it runs and rides great.  Starts right up with no unusual noises or smoking.  I started it up today after sitting about a month on 2nd kick.  Idles great and ran great as always.

All the wearables (brakes, tires, chain) are in good shape, there is nothing I know that it needs except to be ridden by someone.  It has extras, which I am sure I will miss some of them.

  • Applied triple clamps
  • Excel wheels
  • Promoto kickstand( I put this on as I planned to trail ride)
  • FMF power bomb header
  • Brand new protaper grips
  • Full set of white plastics with new decals
Due to the nature of the vehicle obviously it shows some wear, but is in great shape.

The bike cannot leave my until funds clear.  Buyer responsible for shipping or pick up.  No test rides unless bike is paid for.

Any questions please ask!!

Wed, 30 Jun 2010

With the two test riders coming forward to act as replacement riders for the injured Rossi and Aoyama, it brought back memories of the days when the grid would be gifted with wildcard riders from the respective countries. The Japanese rounds were always attended by some of the top guys with experience of the 500GP and MotoGP bikes, through racing them in their domestic championships. What resulted was getting to witness the exciting and talented Japanese riders, and bring new riders to the attention of the teams.
