Honda CR description

This is a very nice Honda Cr 500. Very low hrs and it has a new top end. When I did it a month ago it still had the ORIGINAL STOCK piston in it. It is now on it's first over bore. There are A LOT of extra parts that the bike has on it. Devol radiator guards, Pro Taper,  Excell wheels,. Billet aluminum kick stand, trick brake rotor guard, WIDE PEGS, aluminum frame guards, desert tank, FMF GOLD SERIES pipe and sparky.  Ther may be more that I am forgetting. Look at the picks and see that the bike has LOW HOURS on it. Dragon graphics, over sized tank, over flow coolant tank on rear. Honestly  the tank is irellevent. It was on the bike when I got it so I out it back on. Although I never needed 1 in the past 20+ years of ridinjg 500's  What I have found is that EVERY one of my 500's I blew up. So I have learned how to build these things WELL. I , did a couple of tricks I have learned over the years and I built a REALLY NICE CR!!! This bike will do 90+ and the bottom end is NOT affected! This thing is a MACHINE and it is NEW!!! New PISTON, NEW RINGS, NEW WRIST PIN BERRING, NEW GASKETS. And that is all there is  to a top end on these monsters . GREAT TIRES, wall climbing, water skiing animal! If you want to talk please feel free to call me.  TITLE IN HAND!! If you have questions or if you want more pictures, let me know.. This is thie nicest 500 that I have owned. It is my 6th. There a lot of nice parts on this bike. I am 44 yrs old now and I still love the RUSH!!I Hate to see it go, but if  you want it, it's for sale!!!!!     THE TOP END HAS 0 HRs. I started it, poped the throttle a few times and it is ready. You get to break it in how you want.                                                                                                                  $3800   CASH!! NO TRADES

Hero MotoCorp Launches 125cc Ignitor in India

Tue, 03 Jul 2012

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Ignitor, a 125cc premium model based on the CBF Stunner from former partner turned rival Honda. The Ignitor is one of the final models Hero will produce with technology licensed from Honda, and it is expected to bridge the gap before Hero introduces its own new models (with help from a gentleman named Erik Buell.) Like the Stunner, the Hero Ignitor is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine. Both models claim 11hp and 8 ft-lb., but the Ignitor reaches its peak torque at 5000 rpm while the Stunner has to spin up to 6500 rpm.

Nissin ABS Modulator Recall Explained in NHTSA Documents

Wed, 24 Jul 2013

Earlier this month, we published news about an issue with certain Nissin anti-lock brake system modulators that have been connected to recalls in Canada and Japan from Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki, with the possibility of it expanding to further models and manufacturers using the same component. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has now released documents from American Honda’s recall of ABS-equipped CTX700 and CTX700N that shed some more light into the issue. According to the documentation, a manufacturing error may have resulted in Nissin ABS modulators being contaminated with aluminum chips.

Press launches - the ugly truth. Part 3

Sun, 03 Apr 2011

So with an afternoon of sightseeing completed (a rare luxury on most launches) it's back to the hotel for the press conference. These are you usually long winded, tooth pulling affairs with Japanese technicians insisting on speaking their bestest engrish which only serves to elongate the proceedings. Nothing kills a presentation more than reading every word of a powerpoint slide verbatum, even thought the viewers can read exactly the same words (and probably a lot faster).  The Crossrunner presentation was mercifully brief and snappy followed by dinner in the hotel and a reasonably early night as everyone had already been up for twenty hours.
