Honda CL description

FS 1962 honda sport 50, I bought with original motor but mice were living inside bike and ate all the wires, so bought and mounted the lifan 125 cc motor, its also wired up. I bought as a project and don't have the time for it, I basically put the lifan motor on it and started it but wasn't able to drive due to throttle cable breaking and gas leak in the tank. (it leaks enough that it will need to be repaired right away, but I don't know where leak is so you'll have to pull the tank).

Bike is located in Columbus, Ohio and if you email me I will allow you to come view the bike before purchase. It could be rideable with a throttle cable, and tank repaired. But is in need of tires (which are super old), should replace front brake cable and needs a shorter clutch cable, seat needs major attention (no padding on it, I haven't pulled it off to bother with it)

Bike will include running lifan engine that's on it, weird thing about the engine and I don't know if this is with all Lifan engines but I can only start it in nuetral, if it's in gear it won't let me kick start it. The engine is a kick start only. It will also include original 50cc engine, I never tried starting this engine since wiring was all destroyed by mice but seemed to have good compression and would crank over. Please read additional details below, and email me with any questions. Title says it is a 1962.

Bike has a 125cc engine, and includes the original 50cc engine too.

With that said......
It does run, but needs throttle cable. I used an old mini bike throttle and it broke. So you can hear it start, but u won't be able to ride it. It also has a long clutch cable that you'll see in pics, it works its just 5ft to long:) to get bike on the road you most likely will just need the throttle cable, you will also need to put in a 12v headlight bulb, and a 3 wire 12v tail light since this bike used to be just a 6 volt. Seat on bike isn't great, it's a good seat cover but don't think there is any padding. Gas tank has a leak at the back somewhere. I haven't pulled to find source of the leak. It's also not the oe tank, this is I think a cl160 tank, its bare metal with a clear coat, and dents and dings to go with. Anyway I make it sound like it needs more then it does or worse than it is.
Bike includes everything in the pics including the original engine/exhaust. Which oe engine still turns over. I also have a tire that matches the rear tire to put in the front but its like a dirt bike style so may not want yo put it on. Email for questions.
If ad is still up its still for sale.

Clean and clear Ohio title ready to go.

Mileage listed is most likely wrong and I cannot guarantee accurate.

Full payment due in 7 days, please contact me with any questions regarding pick up or payment. I will only accept cash upon pick up. Buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping or setting up shipment.

Pick up only!! $100 dollar paypal payment required at the end of sale, rest of funds are due in cash upon pick up.

Edit: I was asked a couple questions, yes the engine on the bike is the one I paid $250 for just a month or so ago that you can see in my feedback. Yes engine is still currently mounted and wired up, key switch works as well. Bike is running on CDI only, no battery. And yes bike includes the original engine, and exhaust and extra head as seen in the pics.

I was asked about the title, bike has a clean Ohio Title ready to go in your name.

Edit:8/27/2013 - I added pics that include the original manual or booklet that came with the bike. I also included one pic of serial number from bike as well as the serial number from the engine.

Also I made this larger so all can see, the tank is not the original tank. I'm not sure what the tank is from but I believe a cl160. Also seat pan either is not original or is shortend to accomadate the larger tank. Please read all print before bidding, don't hesitate to ask questions I will answer as soon as I can.

Lastly ebay defaulted it as a Honda CL, it's not a CL. It's a sport 50 or also known as a c 110 or ca 110.

8/27/2013 4:01PM: Ok so my last edit, as I get closer to the auction ending to get some more followers I've lowered the starting price. Bike is worth more than asking price, but I need to get some bidding started. This will be my last edit on price. Please email me with questions.

Team HRC CRF450 Rally Prototype Video

Fri, 03 Jan 2014

In a just released video HRC Team Director Katsumi Yamazaki describes Honda’s Dakar weapon, the CRF450 Rally. Warning: Yamazaki-san’s monotone delivery manages to snuff the excitement factor of what is an incredibly trick motorcycle, but it’s still interesting to watch. Honda returned to the Dakar Rally for the first time in 24 years in January 2013.

James Toseland Announces Retirement from Racing

Fri, 09 Sep 2011

Two-time World Superbike Champion James Toseland announced his immediate retirement from motorcycle racing due to a debilitating injury to his right wrist. Signed with the BMW Motor Italia racing team, Toseland has been limited to just seven of 20 races in this season’s WSBK Championship due to the wrist injury initially suffered during a private test at Spain’s Aragon circuit in March. After undergoing an operation for the injury, Toseland made two attempts at returning to racing, first at the Miller Motorsports Park round in May and again at the Silverstone round in July.

Looking after number 1

Fri, 06 Jan 2012

There was a time when a rider’s number indicated his position from the previous season, with the ultimate accolade being the number 1 emblazoned on the front of the champion's bike. The rise of branding in MotoGP and a rider wanting to market themselves, born from Barry Sheene and his retention of no.7, saw riders decide against displaying their finish from the year before. Rossi, who on winning his numerous championships, stuck with his famous #46 in defence of his titles, instead of stamping a great number 1 on his bikes.
