Honda CL description

For sale is my rare 1974 Honda CL200. Honda only made the CL200 for one year! This is in great condition for it's age. Some rust on exhaust and chrome and two dents in tank, see pictures. All lights and electrics work. This bike has no title. In CT it's not needed if it's older than 20 years old.

The story with this bike: My friend bought it from someone in CT and rode it for one season. He lost interest, sold it to me and it's been stored in my shed for a few years. I decided to take it out, do a tune up (among other things) and sell it because I need the space.

Over the past couple weeks this is what's been done to it:
Oil change
Welded up and painted muffler because it had holes
New tires and tubes (One season old)
New spark plugs and plug caps
New ignition points
New AGM battery
New tachometer drive oil seal
New tachometer cover gasket
New tachometer cable
New fork boots
New fork seals
Fresh fork oil
New air filters
New stator cover gasket
Completely disassembled and cleaned carburetors with new OEM pilot and main jets
Replaced old glass fuse with new blade style

This bike runs great and has very low miles...less than 12k for being 42 years old! Doesn't leak or burn oil. Even the seat is in great shape. Only minor thing is the muffler is a little rattly, sometimes noticeable while it's idling. Most of the chrome looks great but there's some spots where it's pitted and rusty. Paint still looks very good. Tank inside is clean. I de-rusted it and fogged the inside with oil before storage. Usually starts in one kick. Electric start also works flawlessly but kick starting it is funner :)

Looks amazing and it's great on gas. This bike could be for anyone. A hipster looking for a great running rare old Honda. A woman looking for something small and easy to handle while still being stylish and retro. Someone who's new to bikes and wants a great reliable starter bike. Or just someone who wants to look rad while cruising by the beach.

If you want to test ride it, you need a motorcycle license and I have to have the cash in my hand.
I could ride it up and down the street for you and go through the gears if you want. Contact me with any questions. I respond quickly!

Honda Sold 16.8 Million Motorcycles in 2013

Wed, 29 Jan 2014

Honda announced sales of 16.8 million motorcycles in 2013, an improvement of 8.7% from the 15.5 million motorcycles sold in 2012. The announcement was made two days before Honda’s third quarter report for the three months ended Dec. 31, 2013, so we will have to wait to hear the financial impact, but based on these numbers, the quarterly report should be positive.

USA Four Corners Tour Tracked On Google Earth

Tue, 21 May 2013

Ain’t technology amazing? In 2010, Bill Royal and his friend Larry, both members of the Iron Butt Association, decided to take part in the USA Four Corners Tour, sanctioned by the Southern California Motorcycling Association. He logged the trip on his GPS and later uploaded it to Google Earth.

Motorcycle Gymkhana: The Perfect Use For A Helmet-Mounted Swivel Camera – Video

Fri, 09 Aug 2013

We’ve posted motorcycle gymkhana videos before, but this takes the production value up just a notch with the camera mounted on a swivel on the rider’s helmet! In case you aren’t familiar with this form of motorcycle competition, the course is generally set in a large parking lot type setting and is marked with cones. But this isn’t your basic rider course.
