Here we have a very fun, small, and easy to ride classic 1972 Honda CL175 that is a real survivor compared to the "barn finds" you usually see. Would make a great project or pit bike, will be a head turner for sure! Comes with an 1 original key, owners brochure, and a bike cover. NO RESERVE MUST SELL!

Motor runs steady and once it's warmed up it idles even. Clutch needs adjustment/attention but the bike will shift and can be ridden as is. Has a center stand which makes working on it even easier. The bike started life in Ohio, and has been in my family almost all it's life. Because of this, I have some things you RARELY see with a classic bike this age... a clean title and an original key! The Ohio title has already been signed and notarized. This bike will be ready to title and register once it's road ready! Only 724 Original miles! Yes this is an accurate reading! We only used this as sort of a "learners" bike in the family when starting on road riding, it would sit in the garage otherwise. It has spent the last 7-8 years in the SW Nevada desert away from any further rust / corrosion. This was one of the first bike's I began to rebuild years ago when I started hobby mechanic work, but I quickly moved on to Harley's and never finished this bike 100%. This will be quick project for whoever gets it and this bike is so simple to work on! Local buyers and visitors are welcome to look at the bike, I am 20 mins east of the Las Vegas Strip. Here is what I have done to fix the bike: -Frame / Fenders / Bare Metal had some minor rust areas when I brought the bike from Ohio to Nevada due to Ohio weather. I sanded and refinished any problem areas, then re-sprayed the bike with matte black Rust-O-Leam Rust Stop paint. No metal was rusted through, the frame is in great condition! -Fuel tank was leaking. I etched the inside of the tank with chemicals, then I sealed it with specialty fuel tank sealant (can be seen inside the tank as a solid clear polyurethane looking coating.) Installed a new fuel petcock and ran all new fuel hoses. The tank holds fuel fine now and no more leaking. -Right side of fuel tank had a gumball size dent from a garage tip over (visible in pictures). I filled in the bulk of the dent with metal filler and painted over. It could use one more light top layer of Bondo smoothed over to make the repair completely seamless. -Carbs were removed and completely soaked, snaked and cleaned. New bowl seals / floats / springs / rebuild kit installed. Cone air filters installed. Carbs fuel fine now. Idle screws could use some slight fine tuning but hold idle/throttle just fine as is. -Valve clearances checked and adjusted -Fixed several electrical issues, including... installed new ignition points, re-timed points. New spark plugs. Installed smaller "bullet" style turn signals. Fixed dash lights, verify all lights work along with headlight / taillight / turn signals. Here is the cons that I still needed to fix: -Tires... YES, these are the original wheels and tires. They only hold air a few days. They run tubes. I would suggest new tubes/tires and to have the wheel spokes tensioned. -Rear drum brake... needs inspection / adjustment. The rear brake "howls" when applied, i'm guessing from rust / debris in the drum and on the pads. I didn't get around to opening the rear drum so it's probly the original pads in there. The brake mechanism works fine (footbrake does slow the bike). -Clutch cable needs inspection / adjustment. As described, the clutch will disengage fine and shift gears without issue, but the handle pull is tight and is disengaging in the wrong range of the pull. My guess would be a new cable or proper slack adjustment of the existing one would fix this. We rode it as just fine, but it would ride a lot smoother with this taken care of. -Rear brake light switch wiring needs inspection... the Rear brake light seems to be always on. I already replaced the handlebar brake switch wire with a new one, and it worked fine for a while. So now it may be the foot brake wire that needs replaced. Electrical system troubleshooting on this bike is about as simple as it comes... not many bells and whistles! -Neck / Triple Tree bolts needs tightening... I removed the triple tree to paint the front end, and I didn't re-torque the bolts tight enough, so there is a little slop in the front tree when stopping or accelerating (easy fix) they need to be snugged up. That's about all I can think of off that needs attention... which you can see is not much for this model year bike. I have saved you a bunch of time already by going over this bike myself since it was my project originally! Shipping Buyer is responsible for all shipping fees and arrangements. This bike is fairly small and light and can be transported in most standard pickup truck beds. Please make sure you can transport this bike before bidding. I do not mind helping to load this bike or riding it onto a truck as long as I am available. MotoGP Teams Complete First Sepang Pre-Season Test
Thu, 06 Feb 2014Preparations for the 2014 MotoGP Championship are well underway, with the first pre-season test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit complete. As the first test of the year, we shouldn’t take too much stock into the results, but they do provide a basis for later comparison. Reigning World Champion Marc Marquez was the fastest rider on all three days of the Sepang test.

Wed, 22 Jun 2011The nerves are rising as I sit upon a factory Ducati on the grid at the final round of the WSB championship lined-up against the best riders in the World, the lights are about go out to decide winner… The reality however, is I've been working on my arse groove in the couch, in a darkened room with the remnants of last nights takeaway playing on SBK 2011. SBK 2011 is the next extension in the bike racing game series. The two major modes in the game are the standard career and the SBK Tour.
San Carlo Gresini To Field CRT Entry with Honda CBR1000RR Engine
Tue, 15 Nov 2011The San Carlo Gresini race team announced it will compete in the 2012 MotoGP World Championship as a Claiming Rules Team with a Honda CBR1000RR engine in an FTR prototype chassis. The move is a late, but unfortunately necessary change from the team’s original plan to run the factory-level Honda RC213V racebike. The late Marco Simoncelli was tabbed to ride the newest version of Honda’s MotoGP machine next season, but after his tragic death, Gresini had to find another option if it wanted to continue racing.
