Honda CL description

Excellent condition low mileage (4800) Scrambler. I recently purchased at an Estate Sale from the widow of the Owner. According to her - her husband spent a lot of money to "redo" this MC. He never rode it - Just sat in the garage. There is a LOT of chrome on the bike and everything looks wonderful. IT is supposed to be a 2 owner Texas bike - I don't know how to verify that but it does not show much if any normal wear and tear. PO has owned it since 1982. The tires look great and are road worthy. Chain likewise. I put a battery and gas in it and it started on the second kick. This thing is way LOUD and very powerful. I am surprised at the power. Shifts and stops well. It has the baffles removed from the exhaust and I have them - excellent condition and will be included in the sale. Has the tool box and a plastic container full of tools. looks to be original. When you turn the headlight switch on – the fuse blows. The rear light, brake light and horn work. Even the “safety” light that stays on when you pull out the key in the up position works. I tested the headlight out of the bike and the low and high beam work. Don’t know how to fix the switch. Gas tank and side panels look recently painted. The is a lot of chrome and it looks great. Would look great in anyone's collection. Seat is original and the pan is in excellent condition. there is a tear in the middle of the top that has been repaired. there are no other nicks or tears in the seat and it has the strap and SS trim. I did buy a seatcover but did not put it on. You may want to leave it stock. I will include the seat cover with the bike. I added in-line gas filters. The inside of the tank looks good. Cannot see any obvious rust - It looks like it has the "red-kote" coating in it. Anyway no problems with junk coming out of the tank. I did use non-ethanol gas - premium .BTW I drained the tank and carb bowls after I rode tested the bike. The key (1) works the ignition and the steering lock. The steering damper is there. the rear footpegs are there. Has the rubber battery hold down strap. Even has the small metal clips on the handlebar to hold the electric cable in place. Center stand and side stand are there and function properly. Has the correct paper air filters. Did I forget to mention that there is a lot of chrome/new . Look carefully – everything is chrome except the side panels and they and the tank look new. It has been raining in Dallas for the last 4 days. I will try to add better pics later in the week. The engine number looks like 1054758 - hard to see between the pipes and tool kit.

MotoGP Teams Complete First Sepang Pre-Season Test

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

Preparations for the 2014 MotoGP Championship are well underway, with the first pre-season test at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit complete. As the first test of the year, we shouldn’t take too much stock into the results, but they do provide a basis for later comparison. Reigning World Champion Marc Marquez was the fastest rider on all three days of the Sepang test.

Gresini Unveils 2012 MotoGP and Moto3 Honda Race Bikes

Tue, 13 Mar 2012

Last season, Alvaro Bautista rode on one of the best looking motorcycles on the MotoGP grid, the Suzuki GSV-R in Rizla powder blue livery by Troy Lee Designs. This season, Bautista is riding the Gresini Honda RC213V, but instead of its previous white paint job, the Gresini machine is in a sleek black. No reason for the color change was announced, though it’s possible the choice is a sign of mourning for the late Marco Simoncelli whose place Bautista is assuming with Gresini.

2014 Honda CB1100 Announced

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

The Honda CB1100 has only been available here in North America for a year, but for 2014, the retro-styled standard is already getting an update. That’s because the CB1100 has been around for a bit longer overseas, and for nearly everywhere but here, it’s ripe for a modest refresh. For 2014, Honda is replacing the previous version’s five-speed transmission with a six-speed gearbox.
