Honda CBX description
1982 Honda CBX - C Inline six cylinder collectable classic Clean CA title current registration Beautiful bike Mechanically perfect Ready to ride needs nothing. Coming out of a private collection that is being refocused and downsized Low original miles = 13+K The CBX was Honda's first production 6 cylinder road bike and reset the bar for superbike performance when introduced in 1978. The CBX's advanced DOHC 24-valve inline six-cylinder engine was its outstanding feature. Premium priced and more bike than most folks could handle, sales were modest. Hoping to boost sales with a revised concept in 1981, Honda repositioned the CBX into the sport touring category with the CBX-B, adding Pro-Link monoshock rear suspension, air-adjustable front forks, a sleek fairing and trim side cases. The CBX-B also featured upgraded, dual ventilated front brake discs. The 1982 model CBX-C model differed little from the 1981 model, having only some changes to paint and trim. Sales continued to be low and these are now extremely rare machines. The CBX-C engine is rated at 100 HP and very tractable around town with impressive top end power. Capable of quarter mile times in the mid 11s and a top speed over 130 mph, nothing has ever matched the exciting feel and sound of the 6 cylinder CBX. Sporty, but very comfortable riding position, excellent passenger accommodations and reasonable storage space in the removable panniers. This bike is a 1982 CBX-C with fewer than 14K original miles. The bike is stock, unmodified and original. Overall condition is outstanding. Beautiful paint and finish, shiny chrome and alloy, very, very clean. Mechanically perfect, starts, runs and rides as new. No issues, no problems, Ready to ride or preserve .. needs nothing. An exceptional example of a cool and rare machine that is certain to remain a collectable, and likely to continue to increase in value. This bike is coming out of a private collection that is being downsized, refocused on European bikes. It’s a beauty. 1982 HONDA CBX-C Engine :1,047 cc (63.9 cu in) 24-valve, twin-cam air-cooled inline-6 6 carburetors in unitized bank Top speed : 134 mph Power : 100hp Transmission : 5-speed Suspension Front: Telescopic Fork, Air Assisted Rear: Pro-link Single Shock, Air Assited Brakes Front: Twin disc brakes Rear: Disc Tires Front 3.5 x 18" Rear 4.25 x 18" Wheelbase : 58.9 in Seat Height : 32 in) Weight : 600 lb Fuel capacity 5.3 US gal |
