1979 Honda CBX We are selling this for a collector who has consigned many motorcycles with us. His stuff is always top notch. Here is his description, we have looked the bike over and we agree with his description. TIM's paint for tank, tail and fender. Factory correct by the best Honda restoration shop in the country. Candy Red. Looks absolutely fantastic! New badges Incredibly rare NOS Honda brand exhaust. Not a reproduction. Beautiful with some bluing near engine. Battery Tender wired connection Always serviced by previous owner Great Bridgestone tires All receipts New fuel valve New battery Both original keys Includes1979 Michigan Plate (not originally on this bike). This is a beautiful survivor. And it looks fantastic! It has not been restored, it is just that clean. This is an extremely clean original engine. If you want to polish it, you've got a great starting point. If not, there nothing to do to the bike except ride it. It's been ridden locally to keep the fluids moving. It fires right up. Sounds great under the NOS Honda exhaust. You cannot find these anymore Everything on this bike is very, very clean and looks terrific. And as they always say with increasing prices on things, you are only original once. I know it's been repainted but this is a very original survivor. Runs and rides great, ready to enjoy! Isle of Man TT 2014: Dainese Superbike TT Results
Mon, 02 Jun 2014Michael Dunlop won a historic Dainese Superbike race to kick off the 2014 Isle of Man TT week. Riding the S1000RR, Dunlop secured BMW its first win on the Isle of Man since Georg Meier won on a Type 255 Kompressor in 1939. After catching early leader James Hillier of the Quattro Plant Kawasaki team on the opening lap, Dunlop continued to set an impressive first lap time of 17:11.107, which translates to a record average speed of 131.730 mph on the 37.73-mile Mountain Course.
Kenny Roberts Motorcycle Collection Up For Sale
Wed, 25 Apr 2012Motorcycling legend Kenny Roberts has commissioned RMD Motors to auction off some rare and exclusive motorcycles from his collection, presumably to make room for more. The Japan-based company is known the world over for its collection of rare and classic motorcycles for sale, many of which are retired grand prix machines fortunate enough to escape the fate of most decommissioned racebikes: the crusher. Headlining the Roberts collection is the 2004 Proton KRV5 originally ridden by Kurtis Roberts, King Kenny’s youngest son. The five-cylinder grand prix machine never achieved much success on the world stage, but will easily make you the center of attention at your local trackday.

The event’s sponsor, Monster Energy, has released a video offering a behind-the-scenes look at the event. The seven-time F1 champion was joined by TT racer John McGuinness, retired MotoGP racer Randy Momola, Moto2 racer Pol Espargaro and Keith Flint, a musician from the group Prodigy and a racer in the U.K.’s Hottrax Endurance Championship.
