Honda CBX description

This Honda CBX 1979 motorcycle is in 100% original mint condition. It comes in a rare and desirable color: Persius Silver, which was only made for one year (silver is harder to find than the more common red).

Included:
  • Factory shop manual
  • Owner's manual
  • Full tool kit in perfect condition
  • Battery maintainer
  • Period correct, nearly new tires
  • Original round Honda mirrors included, aftermarket currently installed

I'm the 2nd owner, and I purchased the motorcycle from a private indoor museum. Original owner installed a 1980 tail with a locking compartment. During my ownership, this bike has been garaged both at home and at work. The bike is a two time first place show winner. The maintenance free battery is 2 years old. Exhaust is free of blueing, dents, or rust. Gas tank is rust free. Gauges and buttons look NOS (new old stock) with no fading whatsoever. There is no sun fading. All original warning stickers are in mint condition and all systems work 100%. The bike starts instantly and idols smoothly with no oil leaks. Original finish on all engine cases, nothing has been polished. All paint is flawless with no dings, fading or scratches. Wheels are flawless. Shipping is the responsibility of buyer and ships to United States only. Local pick-up is preferred.

For serious bidders, I can either FaceTime or send a detailed video of the motorcycle.

Please note, this bike has been relisted due to a fraudulent buyer on the original listing.

Hero MotoCorp Launches 125cc Ignitor in India

Tue, 03 Jul 2012

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Ignitor, a 125cc premium model based on the CBF Stunner from former partner turned rival Honda. The Ignitor is one of the final models Hero will produce with technology licensed from Honda, and it is expected to bridge the gap before Hero introduces its own new models (with help from a gentleman named Erik Buell.) Like the Stunner, the Hero Ignitor is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine. Both models claim 11hp and 8 ft-lb., but the Ignitor reaches its peak torque at 5000 rpm while the Stunner has to spin up to 6500 rpm.

WSBK 2013: Portimao Race Report

Mon, 10 Jun 2013

Marco Melandri and Eugene Laverty split a pair of victories at Portugal’s Portimao circuit while Sylvain Guintoli took advantage of some misfortune to his championship rivals to increase his lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings. Guintoli has been leading or sharing the lead in the championship since winning the first race of Round 1 in Australia, but amazingly continues to lead despite having just that single victory after six rounds. The Aprilia rider has accomplished this through his consistency (Guintoli leads all racers with nine podium finishes in 12 races) and ability to finish each race (he’s the only rider in the top seven without a DNF).
