Honda CBX description

This is a near-perfect, LOW mile, original, 1979 Honda CBX 6-cylinder motorcycle in exceptional condition!

The bike starts, runs and rides wonderfully.

A real time-machine! Only 8120 genuine miles!

The clutch was replaced and upgraded to the later '81 / '82 style basket and plates (as is acceptable for these - since earlier clutch were noisy.)

The PO had installed an oil-pressure gauge and a "T" line feed for it off of the crank case. It was done in such a way that it can very easily be eliminated for somebody who wants it all stock. It's a nice addition though. Unobtrusive and no extra holes or anything exist for it - can be eliminated 100%.

Tires are great!

Chain and sprockets are very new and in great condition.

Brakes have been flushed.

Carbs have been cleaned.

Tank inside is perfect!

The paint on this bike is perfect! Bike has a clean California TITLE, but resides in WASHINGTON State. (The bike can also be delivered with a clean Washington State title if required.)

I can assist with logistics of shipping anywhere in the world AT THE BUYER'S expense though. Or, the bike can be picked up locally anywhere in and around the Seattle area.

Honda V4 video, hear the new Honda V4

Tue, 25 Aug 2009

Here's a new video from Honda, drumming up interest in their new V4. It's kinda nice, doesn't give much away but get to the end of the video (around 1m20secs in) and you'll hear Honda's new V4. So it's official, they've made it and it'll be out in 2010.

This remarkable shot of Eddie Lawson is taken by Rich Chenet. It was August 1980 and Lawson was undergoing a titanic scrap for the AMA title with Wes Cooley and Freddie Spencer here at Pocono Raceway in Philladelphia. The circuit is known as the 'Tricky Triangle' amongst the NASCAR drivers but the superbikes used a mix of infield and sections of the banked circuit.

Honda VFR1200F Launch: Tokyo (no) Show

Wed, 21 Oct 2009

IF YOU'VE never been to the Tokyo show before, let me tell you this: you’re missing nowt.‘You picked a bad year to come,’ said the Yamaha designer and he was spot on. Three halls of mainly Japanese car manufacturers and lots of empty spaces wasn’t exactly what I had in mind. Maybe my expectations were too great, maybe I should have been expecting my glass to be half empty?
