Honda CBR description

NO RESERVE!!!  HIGH BIDDER WINS!!

I am not interested in setting a reserve and then haggling the price.  I will sell this bike to the highest bidder regardless if  it sells  for $100 or $10,000.  I believe that a no reserve auction is going to bring in whatever the market value is worth.

I had my Honda Accord listed for sale and someone from San Antonio asks if I would trade for this bike.  It was cool to look at (very unique with the “Real Tree” camouflage wrap) I did some research and found that this bike is one of the highest rated bikes ever built for customer satisfaction and all-around performance.  What sold me was the 40+ mpg.

A few months  I traded my Honda Accord for this bike.  I have ridden the bike one time and realize that this is not what I am looking for.  I have been riding dirt bikes, choppers and Harley’s most of my life and was not looking for a sport bike.

I made the trade without even getting on the bike.  After the Accord drove away I took the bike out for a ride on the highway, OH MY GOD! This bike is so fast that I scared myself.  In a matter of a few seconds you go from a dead stop to over 100mph and there is plenty of power to keep going, the top speed is 165 mph. It is so smooth and streamline that you do not realize your speed until the objects in the distance become a rear view mirror item in a flash.  I am very impressed how well this bike responds and handles.  It is much smoother than anything I have ridden before and easy to ride.  It felt very light at slow speeds and was easy to ride.  I wish I would have had this when I first took my motorcycle driving test with the DMV.

I’m not a chicken, just 47 years old and want to live to see 48.  I am a commercial helicopter pilot and have been in law enforcement for over 20 years.  I have some of the fastest cars ever made; nothing made me realize my mortality like a ride on this bike.

I have thought about keeping the bike for the past few months but I realize that it is not the right decision for me.  I will stick with my chopper and cruise around town.

This bike is clean, no dings or dents.  It does have some scratches in the plastic over the speedometer; it was like that when I got it.  I don’t know anything about the bikes’ history but I imagine you can run the vin somewhere and get that .

I put this on a 10 day auction because I am working out of town this week.  I can still make arrangements for you to see the bike; it is in New Braunfels Texas.  I will monitor my email while I am out of town.

It is currently registered in Texas and I have a clear title on the bike.

If you are one of those people who want get an adrenaline rush every time you go for a ride, this is your bike.  If you don’t have the self-discipline to stay off the throttle then you should not buy it unless you have a decent life insurance policy.

I require a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction and you will need to pay the balance within 5 days.  I can help load it or meet a shipper if you make arrangements but the shipping cost is your responsibility.

I will consider trades.  I do not think it is fair to stop a NO RESERVE Auction so if you have a trade in mind please let me know and we will agree on a value for your trade.  If you are the high bidder we will apply the value of your trade to the winning bid and you will pay the difference unless your item is more valuable than the winning bid (if it is, I will pay the difference)

NO RESERVE!!  Don’t bid if you don’t plan to buy it.  High bidder is the winner.

Overall, the 2008 Honda CBR600RR gets an A plus for being extremely good looking and having loads of power available on twist away. For a sportbike, it offers very good comfort and given to its lightweight and Electronic Steering Damper it also corners and handles like no other bike on any given track. It is good to know that development never stops at Hondas and they only end up offering a great package for the less of money.

Unique Features

-Exclusive, MotoGP derived Unit Pro-Link Rear Suspension.

- Dual Stage Fuel Injection System (PGM-DSFI) features two injectors per cylinder.

- MotoGP-derived Honda Electronic Steering Damper (HESD).

- High-revving engine redlines at 15,000rpm.
 -MotoGP-style center-up exhaust system.

- Radial-mount front brake calipers combined with radial actuated master cylinder.

- 41mm Honda Multi-Action System (HMAS) inverted front fork.

- Centrally located fuel tank increases mass centralization for a more compact frame design.

- Line beam headlights feature three-piece multi-reflector design.

Engine/Drivetrain

-Liquid-cooled DOHC 16-valve 599cc four-stroke inline four-cylinder engine features oversquare bore and stroke of 67mm x 42.5mm.

- Idle-air control valve (IACV) minimizes torque reaction and smoothes responsive to small throttle changes through gradual reduction of air and fuel intake.

- Oil jets located beneath the pistons for extra friction reduction and cooling.

- Iridium-tip spark plugs improve fuel combustion and performance.

- Non-resonance knock sensor maintains optimum spark advance while constantly monitoring combustion performance during mid-to high-rpm operation.

- Nose-mounted, two-stage ram-air system provides high volume of cool air to the airbox for linear power delivery and incredible engine performance.

- Lightweight magnesium head cover.

- Cylinder head features angled valve insets to improve airflow.

- Cylinder head features two springs per intake valve and one spring per exhaust valve for optimum high-rpm valve operation and durability.
