By design, the CBR1000RR hits that ideal balance between power and handling that makes it so fun to ride on the street or the track. Now for 2014, the CBR1000RR's performance gets even sharper with the introduction of the CBR1000RR SP. For the ultimate in performance, the CBR1000RR SP features fully adjustable hlins front and rear suspension, plus Brembo front brakes and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SC premium tires. A special lightweight subframe lowers the center of gravity and a new-design rear single-seat cowl also shaves weight. Add additional power and torque via a new cylinder head, intake tract and exhaust system, along with high-performance engine parts including pistons and connecting rods hand-selected to match weight and balance for quality and performance. The riding position is now more track-oriented, a bubble windscreen creates a larger still-air pocket for the rider, and a special tri-color paint scheme all help to create a finely honed instrument that brings the CBR1000RR's performance to a whole new level. Hot Lap Around Spa-Francorchamps With Xavier Simeon

Here, Belgian native Xavier Simeon, the 2009 FIM Superstock 1000 champion and current Moto2 competitor, does a couple flying laps around his home track aboard a Honda CBR600RR at what appears to be a trackday. The speed he carries and the smoothness of his riding are simply extraordinary.
Mopar to Sponsor Canadian Superbike Championship
Mon, 12 Dec 2011Chrysler’s parts and accessories brand Mopar has signed on to be the title sponsor for the 2012 Canadian Superbike Championship. Mopar replaces Parts Canada which recently ended a 22-year partnership with CSBK over controversial comments made by the series organizer on an Internet forum. The seven-round CSBK series includes separate pro and amateur Superbike and Sportbike classes, as well as a Harley-Davidson XR1200 Cup and a new spec series for young riders featuring the Honda CBR250R.
Rumored 2013 Honda CBR500, CB500 Captured in Spy Photos
Wed, 12 Sep 2012Spy photos have emerged out of Thailand depicting two new Honda motorcycles reputed to be a new CBR500 and a second, naked version, possibly to be named a CB500. The photos were posted on the CBR250.net forum by someone claiming to have inside knowledge of the new 500cc Honda models which would be produced in Thailand where the CBR250R is currently manufactured. The faired version is equipped with dual headlights like the Honda CBR600RR instead of the VFR1200-derived Y-shaped light used on the CBR250R and its smaller siblings the CBR125R and CBR150 offered in some markets.
