2013 Long Beach International Motorcycle Show Report

After feasting from a continental breakfast buffet the discerning journalists set to the task of reporting on the bounty of new model motorcycles – most of which has been previously showcased in our November EICMA reporting. Wed, 08 Feb 2012I'm happy to admit that I'm a little bit different; I believe that brown is an underused colour in motorcycling and we need to move on from custom café racers and introduce a dustbin fairing craze - you know I'm right. So, as Ben Cope - known around the Visordown office for being rather stubborn - and I were looking over various scooters on the 'net we uncovered the above machine, Honda's Big Ruckus 250. Instantly I thought that the Big Ruckus was absolutely cool, whereas Ben likened it to a 'mobility scooter'.
Simoncelli Funeral Services Held in Italy
Thu, 27 Oct 2011Fans, friends, family members and prominent figures from the world of sports attended the funeral services for Marco Simoncelli at the Santa Maria Assunta church in Coriano on Thursday, October 27th. The casket was carried into the Assunta church by friends and members of the Gresini team, and at 3pm the services commenced. Flanking the casket was Simoncelli’s 2008 250cc World Championship Gilera bike on one side, and his MotoGP Honda RC212V on the other. Also in attendance was FIM president Vito Ippolito and CEO of Dorna Sports, Carmelo Ezpeleta.
