Honda CTX1300 Spotted During Film Shoot

Last month, we were one of the first to report on these leaked documents listing several upcoming Honda models, including one CTX1300. These images of the Honda CTX1300 were taken during the bike’s promotional filming on a motorcycle that looks to be production-ready. With a body style closely resembling that of the smaller displacement CTX700, the major, and most obvious, difference with the 1300 is the larger, 1261cc engine, believed to be sourced from Honda’s sport-touring stalwart, the ST1300.

The Bourne Legacy motorcycle chase

Motorcycle chases will play a big role in this year's two spy films, with James Bond riding a Honda and now a clip from the upcoming Bourne Legacy shows an action packed chase scene. The Bourne Legacy will follow a similar premise with a rogue CIA agent being hunted down by the agency, it is also the first film in the series not to feature Matt Damon as Jason Bourne, instead handing over the reigns to Avengers Assemble star Jeremy Renner. OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
