Honda CBR description

2012 Honda CBR1000RR, Brand New! - 20 Years of Superbike Domination. MUST CALL AUSTIN @ (828)277-8600 This bike is still Brand New. Has never been titled. Full Factory warranty! Does not include a NC Doc Fee of $148.50, any Dealer Fees, or any applicable DMV Fees(Tax/Tag/Title/Inspection). There’s big news when it comes to the 2012 Honda CBR1000RR. The CBR1000RR is already the essential Superbike, offering a perfectly integrated combination of power, handling, and overall balance for both the street and the track. But this year we’ve taken this versatile machine and given it some major upgrades. New suspension, new bodywork, new instrumentation, new wheels—and that’s just the start. All that in addition to its famously powerful 999 cc liquid-cooled inline-four-cylinder engine and all-aluminum twin-spar chassis. The future’s looking bright indeed—at least if you’re looking at it from behind the bars of a 2012 CBR1000RR.

Stoner to Miss Brno for Surgery – Title Defence Likely Over

Thu, 23 Aug 2012

Casey Stoner has withdrawn from the Brno, Czech Republic MotoGP round to undergo surgery on his injured ankle. Trailing Yamaha‘s Jorge Lorenzo by 39 points and Honda teammate Dani Pedrosa by 21 points with seven rounds to go, Stoner’s hopes of repeating as MotoGP champion before retiring at the end of the season are all but dashed. The Repsol Honda rider injured his ankle in a high side crash in last weekend’s Indianapolis Grand Prix.

FIM to Revise WSBK Homologation Requirements

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

The International Motorcycling Federation is considering modifying its homologation requirements for the World Superbike Championship following Bimota‘s somewhat surprising plans to re-enter the series. Under current regulations, manufacturers must produce a minimum number of motorcycles for it to be eligible to compete in the production-based WSBK championship. The official regulations currently require a minimum of 125 units produced for an initial homologation inspection, 500 units produced by June 30 of the current year, 1,000 units by the end of the current year and 2,000 units by the end of the following year.

A Weighty Issue

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

For as long as I can remember, motorcycle manufacturers have been playing fast and loose with regard to what they claim for the weight of their bikes. The “dry weights” they foisted upon us had little basis in reality. The “dry” part of that claim meant that listed weights on a spec chart were the result of all fluids being MIA from the bike, including necessities like engine oil, coolant and fork fluid (not to mention fuel), but even that didn’t fully explain the overly optimistic specs.
