Honda CBR description

2006 Honda CBR600RR, There's no tougher proving ground for a 600cc sportbike than the AMA Formula Xtreme class, and considering the fact that one machine the CBR600RR has won every single race of the last two seasons, not to mention the 2004 World Supersport title and 2005 Daytona 200, need we say more? Well, other than this state-of-the-racing-art middleweight marvel simply has no equals.

With a foreword from our Whit', the book details Granty's life from his Yorkshire roots through to all of his seven TT wins and the intense rivalry with Barry Sheene in the 1970s. Don't judge the book by it's cover, it's not a disaster like the out-of-focus oval-pistoned Honda NR500 but a good read.

Thu, 05 May 2011

I can remember exactly where I was when I first saw Honda's TT100 Evolution Fireblade: at the dinner table, reading MCN as a 16-year old lad and being told to put the paper down and get on with my dinner! I'm sure you appreciate why the lamb chops had to wait.. It was created by Honda to celebrate their 100th TT victory, however I'm pretty sure Honda had another agenda: to homologate it so they could put it up against the mighty new Yamaha R1 at the TT.
