Honda CBR description
Track Ready & head turner!I’m selling this gorgeous Tahitian Blue Honda CBR 600RR. I’m the third owner but only for a short time. I took a couple years off from riding and this was an excellent way to get comfortable again without starting over on a stock 600cc bike. The pictures do this bike no justice. She looks amazing, especially in direct sunlight and a true head turner. She has plenty of extras and internals to make her perform more like a 750/900 than a basic 600, with the comforts and weight of a true 600. Good second bike or possible first time rider with some level of riding experience. This bike is set up for true circuit racing with the luxury of legal street riding as well. The bike has plenty of visual aesthetics in the form of plenty of carbon fiber and distinguishable parts and features. Other than the obvious massive amounts of carbon fiber other notable extras include true braided brake lines, custom matching paint, exhaust, 2 up 1 down sprockets, grips, levers, stator case covers, internals and the biggest gem is the BST (Blackstone TEK) complete carbon fiber rims. These rims are RARE and weigh close to nothing! This set of rims alone MSRP for $3395 new! She has plenty of throttle left in her and is a must see and ride. Always covered or garage kept!New front tire is needed. I’ll also throw in the blue/white Icon jacket and Scorpion Helmet with the sale (both XL). I rode her for a little over half a season and ready to upgrade to a larger bike. Price is somewhat negotiable to get her to a new home but not much. Text or email me for details or to schedule a test drive. Serious inquiries only please. Double listed on Craig's List and Facebook, I reserve the right to end Auction if other offers accepted. 804-767-0181 Text Only |

Mystic Mac's 2014 MotoGP predictions
Thu, 06 Feb 2014There is no real off season in Moto GP. Although we complain about being starved of racing, for those at the sharp end, in little more than two months they have new bikes to assemble, team staff to put in place and sponsors to nail down that will pay for it all. This time frame is also tight for riders, as it seems more every year go straight under the surgeon’s knife after the last round and spend the short winter recuperating for the season ahead. The 2014 Moto GP championship looks like a cracker as apart from the ten full factory riders we now have at least eight non factory riders with properly competitive machinery. We also have five Brits on the grid, two with podium potential. Whatever happens though (providing you have BT Sport) you can just sit back and enjoy watching the incredible Marc Marquez do things that shouldn’t be possible. Speaking of whom, I didn’t believe a Rossi replacement would come this soon. And when I say replacement, I mean a rider that is the full package. Although in some ways quite different to Vale, he’s an equally phenomenal talent plus a very likeable character that appeals to the masses and although respectful to his rivals off track, deadly competitive in the heat of battle. Being young and good looking he’s obviously a dream for sponsors and the sport in general. Marquez has evolved in his own way but thankfully into a perfect replacement for our sport when the VR steps down.
Moto2 needs more radical bikes
Wed, 05 Sep 2012Makers of fine exhausts, Taylormade Racing have built a Moto2 racer that harks back to the innovative machines like the Elf Honda 500 and Britten V1000. Since Moto2's inception in 2010 the class has featured bikes with conventional chassis but the Taylormade bike, designed by Paul Taylor and John Keogh, has a radical design featuring a carbon-fibre monocoque frame, carbon-fibre swingarm, wishbone monoshock front suspension and an under-seat radiator. However, with such radical engineering the inherent problem is that it is a risk for teams to invest in such a project.
Schwantz School, the ultimate track experience?
Mon, 22 Aug 2011If having one-to-one instruction from an ex-MotoGP World Champion is your dream, then why not put the Schwantz School on your Christmas list for 2012. Ok, it’s in America and slightly more expensive than your average track day ($2750 for two days at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway) but many satisfied customers will argue this is the best rider training experience in the world. Your hard earned Dollar will see you alternate between the classroom and track from 8am until 4pm, then Kevin will take you on a track tour where he explains riding techniques and answers questions (he even drives the bus).
