Honda CBR description

1998 Blackbird in very good condition. Less than 20k miles garage kept for the last 5 years. Battery tender on it during the winter ( New 2 years ago) Tires on second season.
Full Muzzy exhaust
Corbin seat with original seat included
2 leather jackets and L and XL helmets included ( 500 value at least)
Very fast but nimble for a 1100cc sport touring bike.
For those not aware, this bike was made to compete with the Busa for the fastest production bike in 1998.
Very dependable. Some very minor scuffs from wear and tear.
No need to spend 10k on a comparable newer bike when you can have this one for 3500.00. Shoot, if you spent 1000 on this bike it would look brand new. Be aware, this is a very fast bike and new riders might want to look for something smaller.
I am 60 years old so it has not been abused...not that a 60 years old couldn't do it. :)

Thanks for looking.

Q3 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

Motorcycle and scooter sales in the U.S. in 2013 remain consistent with last year’s figures, according to data released by the Motorcycle Industry Council. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.

Results From Day 2 Of World Superbike Testing At Phillip Island

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

World Superbike testing at Phillip Island came to a close today, and when the dust settled, reigning champion Tom Sykes stamped his authority, setting the fastest time of the test at 1:30.239, just five thousandths shy of the outright lap record held by Carlos Checa. The time was set during the morning session of testing, though nobody was able to best Sykes for the remainder of the day. Eugene Laverty, who was fastest on day one, showed his pace was no fluke as he stayed near the top of the time sheets, ultimately finishing second behind Sykes, with a best time of 1:30.513.
