Honda CBR description

Up for auction is my 1993 Honda CBR 900RR. I have had this bike since new. The bike has 5112 original miles and is in absolutely mint condition. It has only seen water twice in its life and that was to wash it off. Never ridden in rain. Always kept in my house. When you get on this bike it is like getting on a brand new bike. It has no issues whatsoever. The tank looks like new inside with no rust. It has never had bad gas in it and has been maintained by me, a professional mechanic. It runs like new and has no paint chips or scratches, at least that I have found. All original except the tires and blue anodized bars ends. I have the original tires and they will go along with the sale. I changed them around 2500 miles just because of age. They still look like new. I put the new tires on a few years back and they have the remaining balance of miles that are on the bike. I should still have the original bar ends somewhere also. There is one issue about the bike and that is the upper fairing. The day the shop took it out of the crate the bike started to fall over and the assembly tech grabbed it by the upper fairing as it was falling and it put two cracks in it. No paint loss or scratches just two cracks and I have shown them in the pictures. No other damage was done. It was no big deal to me as they ordered a brand new fairing from Honda when it became available. They gave me the replacement fairing and it will go with the bike. It is brand new in box. I never bothered replacing it since the original looked great and I figured I would keep it in case of emergency. The exhaust is original all though I removed the black paint from the muffler and polished the aluminum. I can ship the bike at buyers expense. I get a very good deal through a shipping company and will pass it on to buyer. All payments and transfer of title must be done before I will ship. Payment must be made within 48 hours after auction end unless other arrangements are made ahead of time. Any questions feel free to call 301-529-3363 or 717-294-6370 ask for Ron.

Fri, 20 Dec 2013

Today Honda announced that through its official racing arm, Team HRC, the company will be tackling the 2014 Dakar Rally, one of the most grueling off-road races in the world. The race starts on January 5 and lasts until January 18. Five riders—Helder Rodrigues (Portugal), Sam Sunderland (United Kingdom), Javier Pizzolito (Argentina), Joan Barreda (Spain), and Paulo Goncalves (Portugal)—will ride the CRF450 Rally, a rally-racing bike specially developed for the 2014 Dakar.

WSBK 2013: Laguna Seca Race Report

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

Tom Sykes and Eugene Laverty each came away with a victory as the World Superbike Championship made its return to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The first race featured two red flags, ironically caused by AMA Superbike regulars Danny Eslick and Roger Hayden, the two men with the most recent experience at the famed track. The second race was a much cleaner affair, with a dramatic finish, setting up the final two rounds of the championship.

Dovi given the 1000fps treatment

Fri, 22 Jul 2011

Andrea Dovizioso describes the perfect lap from the start to the corners. All three of the Repsol Honda riders have very different riding styles and comparing the above footage of Dovi against Stoner you can see that he is a lot more conservative on the bike than a ragged lap of his Australian team-mate. Still incredibly rapid though.
