Honda CBR description

1993 Honda CBR900RR Red/White/Blue

Up for sale is my RR. I am the original owner. Purchased from Newhall / Saugas CA. Honda Yamaha. After delivery I installed the Yoshimura pipe, Heli bars, Fren Tubo brake lines, Brake and Clutch lever covers, Zero Gravity blue tint windshield, gauge and triple clamp carbon fiber covers, Corbin seats and full tank cover. All the original parts are included so returning the bike to complete stock is about a days work. Note: The original clear windshield is missing. l stored it somewhere safe 23 years ago...Still looking, but replacement is available. Carefully ridden mostly as a weekender. Never dropped, raced, wheelied or red lined. Low miles and Low Serial Number if looking for a nice collector bike. Well maintained, washed, waxed and meticulously detailed. Always covered and garage kept. Stored for most of it's life on a battery tender and started, run regularly. This RR is a very nice example to own, collect and enjoy.

Overall fit and finish is excellent but it is not perfect. See the photos for close up of the minor flaws. The chin spoiler and lower fairing leading edges have a small amount of road rash typical of 13K miles. There are two very small cracks in the paint (not through the plastic) one in each mid fairing lower corner by the fastener. I applied some touch up paint and rubbed/buffed them out to minimize them. There was rub spot on right mid fairing from shipping. It too has been touched up, rubbed and buffed out. There is a very small crack in the upper left fairing leading edge where the left mirror mounts to the fairing. There are small scratches on the upper outside edge of the left mirror housing. The steering lock has a broken tumbler so it does not work. The ignition switch / lock assembly can be replaced. I've included a Kryptonite brake disk lock for security in the interim. The original tires are still on the bike and should be replaced. The wheels retain an excellent finish. I've had the carb's off the bike for cleaning twice so I suggest having them resync'ed. The fuel pump, filter and fuel cutoff relay have been replaced.

The Motorcycle Cover, Both Front and Rear Lifts, Owners Manual, Original Tool Kit, Shop Service Manual and all my paperwork goes with the bike. I'm also including a vintage in new condition color matched Fieldsheer (XL/SZ48) jacket and AGV gauntlet gloves. The Red/White Shoie helmet is an 1985 ELR. It's not for riding due to age but makes a nice addition if showing the RR.

Send any questions and thanks for looking.

Japanese Motocompo Anime

Mon, 21 Feb 2011

Last week we revealed that Honda are likely to launch the new Honda Motocompo - over 30 years since the first version. I must admit, I'd never heard of it before we ran the news story, so I got onto YouTube and tried to find footage of a very efficient and humble Japanese businessman unloading one out of the boot of a Honda Civic in order to minimise their carbon footprint, but no... I couldn't find one.
