Honda CBR description

Hello Ebay!

I am selling my 1987 Honda Hurricane 600, more commonly known as a Cbr 600.  This is a great little bike, and I have enjoyed riding it, but I'm deploying in a few weeks and I wont be able to ride again until probably the 2015 riding season.  The bike has the stage 1 jet system installed, and the K&N air filter installed, with a newer D&D exhaust system on it.  The bike could probably go for a good repaint, or you could always just touch it up with a rattle can paint job.  I have a set of graphics for the tank that have the Honda logos and hurricane graphics.  The rear fairings are not currently on the bike, it needs the rear bracket that hold the rear pegs to be on the bike.  I had the forks rebuilt with new oil, springs and seals just this past December.  The seat on this bike is very comfortable, I really love this bike but I just hate thinking about it sitting for 2 years while I'm gone.  If you look at the vin number sequence for these bikes, this bike (952) is the 950th bike made in the series, which started with (002) so its a low number VIN.  The main fairings that are missing can be found at https://www.maier-mfg.com/catalog/honda-cbr600-fairing-side they are currently $97 a side.  Dont let this good deal pass you by!  Motorcycle is sold as is with no refunds, no warranty.  I also have an extra set of carbs, a new kevlar clutch and other misc parts that I will give to the winner of the auction.

2013 Honda CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R Recalled in Australia

Tue, 18 Feb 2014

Honda has recalled its 2013 CB500F, CB500X and CBR500R models in Australia because of a defect that could cause an oil leak. At the moment, no recall has been announced for the U.S., though there is a good possibility one will be announced shortly, as all 500-series models are manufactured in the same Honda factory in Thailand. There is a similar recall for the Japanese market for the CB400F, CB400X and CBR400R, which are mechanically identical to Honda’s 500-series models, but with a smaller engine to meet the country’s tiered licensing requirements.  According to the Australian and Japanese recall notices, the rocker arm shaft sealing bolt may come loose, causing oil to leak from the engine.
