Find or Sell Motorcycles & Scooters in USA

1969 R60US in same hands since new.  Owner just pasted and I am helping the widow sell the machine.  Bike sat for about a year before I took it and had it serviced, tank flushed, carbs cleaned and all fluids renewed.  I have ridden it about a hundred miles in the last month to look for defects and found none.  This is an original bike owned by the local BMW motorcycle dealership founder. Slingers were cleaned 600-650 miles ago, about 5 years.  Tires look good but date code puts them at more than 10 years old.  Small ding on the tail light can, Ask your questions. Restored, numbers matching 1976 R75/6 BMW 750cc Airhead with 36,814 original miles. This motorcycle has no dings or dents; all new paint/clear coat with hand-painted pin stripes. Garage kept Arizona bike with no rust. Rare S-Fairing with working clock, working volt meter and new windshield. The top end has been resealed per factory specs. Continental tires have 1500 miles on them. All rubber pieces on the bike have been replaced. New cables, alcohol proof float kits and mirrors. Wheels have been trued and ride very nicely. All engine seals and o-rings replaced. All new handlebar switch pods on both left and right sides. DynaIII electronic ignition. Koni shocks in the rear and Progressive springs up front. Reynolds Rack with a very nice newer set of locking Krauser hard panniers included. The bike also has the original toolkit, owners manual, air pump and BMW factory rag.   Valves were adjusted 1K ago. The engine oil, gearbox oil and final drive oil just changed. *Mileage may vary a little (~15 miles/week), as I take it out for short Sunday cruises.**Corbin seat shows some wear, but is comfortable. Right side Krauser bag is missing a stick-on emblem.A nice example of a great-running, very distinct, vintage motorcycle.

2024 Honda Transalp Review – First Ride

Fri, 03 Nov 2023

A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes weren’t really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMW’s venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.

2024 Honda Motocompacto Review – First Ride

Wed, 01 Nov 2023

A cult classic scooter electrified and reimagined for Gen Z Photos: Honda/Wedrick Campbell It doesn’t take long to scoot around Honda’s US headquarters in Torrance, California to see how the new Motocompacto makes a lot of sense. Honda HQ is effectively a campus, with multiple buildings interlinked by arteries of short roads. Walking is the usual method people use to get around.
