Honda CB description

Yes, You did see this bike a few days ago listed as a "Non-Running Garage Find".....I pulled the ad & decided to stop my other restoration projects & focus on this bike...Details are as follows...

-1983 Honda CB1100F, 29K miles, 1-Owner since 1984, Was stored non-running 3+ years....I bought this bike as part of a "Lot" & is now up and running....In the last few days, I have torn the bike down & did the following....

- Complete Sonic cleaning of the Carbs, New Battery & complete check over...

- Bike starts right up, runs & idles fine..Shifts thru all gears, Good Brakes, Tires, Chain & Sprockets..Has Front Galfer Brake Lines..I installed a NOS Start/Stop Switch because the old one was faded, NOS Honda Grips, Inside of Tank is excellent, Seat nice..

- Paint & Decals are excellent..Front Fender has paint chipped off the leading edge from normal use, Tank has a few paint chips that are shown in the pics, but is in overall excellent condition, NOS Cap, Hinge is excellent, but uses a different key than the ignition..Right Side Panel is excellent, Left Side shows some wear & "1" very minor crack, Tail Section is Very Nice..I replaced the Left Side Rear Turn Signal Stalk due to the old one being broke, but the length is about 1/2 longer than the right..an easy fix, just buy a 2nd matching stalk since the stock ones are N/A...Right side mirror shows scratching, probably from being dropped on the pavement at some point..just the mirror, Not the bike...Factory Exhaust shows some heat fade of the "Black Chrome" by the Head Pipes, & has some scratches, but overall a nice stock exhaust, Has a "Dyna Programable Ignition/Coil Set on it a shown in th pics..I will include the "Stock Parts" with the bike...Rare Owners Manual & Clear Michigan Title in my name..

- Here are the main issues I see....Feel free to call me to discuss anything or set up a viewing time which I encourage..

- Clutch Basket rattles at idle, probably due to the plates wearing on the Hub..Any noise goes away once the bike is off idle..I would recomend a replacement at some point...

- Front Headlight Cowling is held on by "2" factory screws & "2" Tabs....The "2" lower tabs are broke, so I would recommend it getting fixed or replaced...Right now the cowl is secured by the factory screws & has "2" strips of Velcro to prevent vibration.. Hardly noticable..

*** This is a nice example of a "1" year only bike & needing only a couple of things...A good daily rider that you can take to bike nights & Vintage shows**

*** I have nothing to hide on this bike, so please call if you need any other details or to set up a viewing time...616-240-3525  Mike....I have more pics available & a "Running" video on my F.B page I'll try to upload...I am open to B.I.N offers also..

*** This ad can be pulled due to a local sale...NO International Sales***.....A $250.00 deposit due within 24hrs & the final amount due within 3 days after the auction ends...Please contact me if you have less than "10" Feedback or " Negatives" aginst you...I will cancel your bids...Buyer is responsible for shipping arrangements...Thanks for looking ***

K-Tech release 25SSK for Big Piston Forks

Mon, 21 May 2012

K-Tech have released their popular 25SSK front fork open cartridge system to fit all Showa Big Piston Forks. Here's what K-Tech have to say about them: These lightweight aluminium units are supplied to the same exacting specification as all other 25SSK fitments with 14mm piston rods and a 25mm cartridge tube, the 14mm piston rods displace a large volume of oil through the 25mm control pistons giving enhanced damping characteristics over the standard Big Piston Fork and allow a bigger volume of air for a more precise feel at the bottom of the fork travel. The cartridge kits have compression and rebound adjustment in both legs and are supplied with 1.5mm Flow Control Valves for a more accurate adjustment, all necessary hardware is supplied to convert the Big Piston Forks to take the cartridges but it is necessary to order the springs you require as these are not included, customer price for the 25SSK cartridges is £725.00 + VAT and are available for the following models:- Honda CBR1000RR 2012 Kawasaki ZX6-R 2009-2012 Kawasaki ZX10-R 2011-2012 Suzuki GSXR600 2011-2012 Suzuki GSXR1000 2009-2012 Contact K-Tech on: +44(0)1283 559007.

EICMA 2013: 2014 Honda CTX1300 First Impressions – Video

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

From the moment we published the 2014 Honda CTX1300 Revealed story, virtually all the comments about the bike have been negative. From its looks to its engine and everything in between, it seems that many of you aren’t a fan of Honda‘s latest entry into the cruiser(ish) market. Of course, all this judgement is based on pictures.

2023 Honda ST125 Dax Announced for Europe

Mon, 14 Mar 2022

Fast Facts T-shaped chassis Tiny 1-gallon fuel tank IMU-based ABS No word on US availability Another friendly little retro Minimoto from Honda Honda announced a new 125cc Minimoto for Europe, reviving the Dax model name for a new generation of riders. The name was originally used in Europe in 1969 for Honda’s ST-series in 50 and 70cc models, and last produced from 1995 to 2003 in Japan. The name comes from “Dachshund”, as its distinctive T-shaped frame resembles the weiner dog breed, helping it stand out from Honda’s other minibikes like the Monkey and Cub.
