Honda CB description
Offering this Rare 1983 Honda CB1100F Supersport in near mint condition. Stock engine, carbs & airbox. Perfect gas tank and side covers, excellent tail section and front fender. Very good solid stock exhaust. Rebuilt stock Keihin carbs with new Honda NOS floats, tuned and sychronized, New NOS Honda grips, new air filter, new NGK plugs and NGK wires. Runs very strong, and has HUGE torque down low and in the middle, with a clean throttle response everywhere right up to redline. No leaks, and no smoke! Gearbox and clutch are smooth and solid. Wheels are in excellent condition, and brakes work correctly with good power and no drag.
Honda offered this model one year only in '83 as the ultimate evolution of the big air-cooled Twin Cam Honda Fours of the 750F, 900F, 1100F Supersport line. It was a last hurrah really, as the new V-4 Honda's with liquid cooling would be replacing the air cooled inline fours in '84. This bike was converted early in it's life to the standard round headlight style offered in the UK, and in other markets. I don't have the fairing and square headlight. Odometer reads 16987, but can't be verified. Flaws are few, but I will note them. The seat cover has a small split that hasn't grown, but would need to be re-covered to be perfect. There is is a split in the front fender and light fading, it would need a repair and repainting to be perfect. The tail section has a small place where the decal has been rubbed off, and has light fading. It would need to be repainted with a new decal set, and then cleared over, which the factory neglected to do. None of these flaws are very noticeable, and everyone is always amazed at the bikes age and condition, but I want to disclose them nonetheless. Clean title in hand. Questions are welcome. Thanks for looking! |

Used: MOTOTENT by Lone Rider
Mon, 12 Aug 2013Since wild camping in the UK is generally regarded as trespassing, I opted for a crowded campsite in the heart of Sussex, open fires allowed, to see if the MOTOTENT is worth the £399 price tag. On the face of it the MOTOTENT is essentially a two man dome tent with a porch, Well I can pick up one of those up from Argos for £100 or less. Also I was struggling to understand why you would buy a tent that you can sleep in and store your bike in overnight, certainly in the UK most places you are likely to stay are fairly secure campsites.
Schwantz School, the ultimate track experience?
Mon, 22 Aug 2011If having one-to-one instruction from an ex-MotoGP World Champion is your dream, then why not put the Schwantz School on your Christmas list for 2012. Ok, it’s in America and slightly more expensive than your average track day ($2750 for two days at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway) but many satisfied customers will argue this is the best rider training experience in the world. Your hard earned Dollar will see you alternate between the classroom and track from 8am until 4pm, then Kevin will take you on a track tour where he explains riding techniques and answers questions (he even drives the bus).
Which Repsol rider has the most podiums?
Tue, 31 Jul 2012Dani Pedrosa and Casey Stoner reached a new milestone for Repsol Honda Team at the US Grand Prix this past weekend. After eighteen years of successes, including over 100 victories and 9 world titles, the team achieved the 300 podium landmark through Casey Stoner and Dani Pedrosa’s efforts in the tenth round of this year’s MotoGP World Championship season. The energy company and the Japanese factory joined forces in 1995, with the intention of reaching the peak of the premier class.
