A friend of mine kept it in his garage for the last two years, and sold it to me to help get his business started. I only had to tinker with it a bit to get it going again, and now its ready to drive out of here! The work on the bike is all very fresh, with no more than 100 miles on any of it. This includes: -Rebuilt and bored from 900cc to 985cc with Wiseco K985 67.5mm pistons, rings, and pins -New clutch basket and plates -New exhaust with Vance and Hines 4-into-1 -New coils -New chain and sprocket -New tires -Forks rebuilt -Carburetor rebuild including cleaning, rejetting (for overbore), and tuning -Repainted tank, forks, side covers, pretty much the whole thing Between the new exhaust and overbore this bike is faster and more powerful than its counterparts, and rides smooth and easy. I would keep it but I already have another older project bike and don't need two hanging around. Shipping ======================================================================== -Buyer is responsible for local pickup at Fort Benning, Georgia. -A pass to get on base can be acquired from the visitor's center outside of the main gate (the I-185 gate) and requires a valid drivers licence or ID for all occupants in the vehicle. -Motorcycle runs great and may be driven after purchase, or you can trailer it if you want. Stoner Back on Top on Day 2 of MotoGP Test in Sepang
Wed, 01 Feb 2012Casey Stoner made his return to the track after missing the first day of the MotoGP pre-season test at Sepang and showed everyone why he deserved the #1 plate. After skipping the first day of the test due to back pain, Stoner was back on the Repsol Honda RC213V and set the top lap time of all riders. Stoner rode 29 laps and set the pace with a lap time of 2:00.895, 0.157 seconds faster than Ben Spies and 0.173 seconds ahead of Jorge Lorenzo.

Mon, 28 Sep 2009Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
