Honda CB description

Classic 1979 CB750 Ltd. restored with Love
17,900mi

Every system on this bike has been restored/upgraded to daily driver status:

Ignition- Coils replaced with Dyna Coils, pulsers replaced, new plugs/wires
Fuel-Carbs cleaned and rebuilt professionally. Balanced. Insulators and airbox boots replaced. Petcock rebuilt.
Electrical- New battery, stator, rotor, reg/rec.
Engine- Valve lash shimmed and maintained. Cam chain adjusted. Starter clutch rebuilt. Oil pressure sensor replaced.
Chassis- New seat cover. Front brake caliper rebuilt. fork seals replaced, rear shocks replaced with Progressive shocks.

New tires. Polished side covers and valve cover. Interior of tank in great shape, no rust problems. Inline fuel filter installed.

A great deal of blood and sweat went into restoring this bike. It sat for over 30 years in a warehouse. I purchased it from the original owner with 2400mi on it. Currently at 17,900 miles. Used as a commuter bike. Highway miles. I live in the desert southwest, dry climate. I'm selling because I bought a 2014 CB1100.

Honda’s V-4 History

Tue, 06 Oct 2009

As Honda prepares its new VFR1200 for its official unveiling, the red-wing company has set up a website detailing its long involvement in V-4 engines. It began back in 1979 with the introduction of the NR500 grand prix racebike. Rather than fielding a 500cc two-stroke engine, Honda used a four-stroke oval-piston V-4 motor – essentially a V-8 with four cylinders that could be revved to 19,500 rpm!

American Honda Played A Big Role In Bringing Nicky Hayden Back To Team Red

Tue, 08 Apr 2014

In late 2013, American Honda was presented with an opportunity to bring Nicky Hayden back to the Honda family, and renew the relationship that started in 1999 when Hayden was just 17. By retaining Hayden’s services to ride the Honda RCV1000R in the MotoGP World Championship series for the DRIVE M7 Aspar Team in the 2014 and 2015 seasons, American Honda is also now a proud sponsor of the DRIVE M7 Aspar Team. His first MotoGP season (2003) saw Hayden finish fifth in the championship on the Repsol Honda RC211V and win Rookie of the Year honors.
