I HAVE OWNED THIS BIKE FOR 11 YEARS.  IT IS A TRUE SURVIVOR! I HAVE TAKEN VERY GOOD CARE OF THIS GEM.  PICTURES SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES.  IT STARTS, RUNS, AND RIDES AS IT SHOULD.   IT DOESN'T NEED ANYTHING.  PAINT SHOWS VERY NICE, CHROME IS GOOD FOR A BIKE THIS AGE.  LEFT SIDE COVER HAS A CRACK BUT HAS BEEN EPOXIED ON THE BACK.  NEW BATTERY AND NEWER TIRES,DRIVE CHAIN, WHEEL BEARINGS TOO.  I ALSO HAVE THE ORIGINAL TAIL LIGHT, REAR TURN SIGNALS AND HANDLEBARS THAT WILL GO WITH PURCHASE IF YOU WANT.  THIS IS A  HARD ONE TO LET GO BUT IT IS TIME TO MAKE SPACE AND TO LET SOMEONE ELSE ENJOY THIS BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF HISTORY.    ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING...PICK UP ONLY!! Marco Melandri bit a chunk off of Max Biaggi‘s World Superbike championship points lead by taking a pair of wins at Brno. The double was the first in Melandri’s career and the first for BMW. Biaggi, who arrived in the Czech Republic with four wins and nine podium finishes in ten previous races at Brno, was held off the podium this year, shrinking his lead in the championship to 21 points from 48.

This ‘you tube’ gem sent to me recently brought back some funny memories from the scary but incredibly exciting days of 500cc two stroke racing. This particular race was the final round of the All Japan 500cc Championship at Tsukuba Circuit where I enjoyed a head to head battle with national hero Tadahiko Taira. Yamaha’s favourite son at the time, ‘tie wrap’ as we liked to call him, was taller and better looking than most Japanese riders (maybe a war baby?) and went on to win nearly everything in Japan during his career.
