Honda CB description

I am selling my 1976 Honda CB 400F Super Sport.  The bike is a well-maintained survivor with just under 14,000 miles.  The bike has always been garage-kept.  I bought the bike from a collector in 2010; I rode it very occasionally and maintained it impeccably.  Since I've had it, I've had the carbs rebuilt and synchronized.  I've also replaced the shock seals and had the front brake master cylinder rebuilt.  The tires (Avon Road Riders) are relatively new (under 500 miles).  The chain was also replaced, and the battery is new this summer (Yuasa, of course!).  All work was done with NOS Honda parts.

While the bike looks incredible for its age, it is NOT perfect; after all, it is not a restoration.  The bike does, however, have patina and character as any classic should!  The bike does not have any significant flaws that detract from its appearance or value.  The tank and exhaust have suffered no dents, and the engine is leak-free. The paint is in excellent condition.  It runs as it should, and the transmission shifts perfectly through all the gears.  I wouldn't hesitate to ride the bike anywhere.

In my estimation, this bike is an excellent addition to any collection that has space for an original specimen of the motorcycle that initiated the inline four sport bike craze.

I look forward to selling the bike to someone who will love and value it as much as I have.

Local pick up is agreeable.  Shipping must be arranged by the seller; however, I am happy to accommodate your needs on my end.  I've used uShip before; I was pleased with their service.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due with 24 hours of the winning bid.

Serious bids and inquiries ONLY.

Thank you for your consideration.  Please email me with your questions.  I will respond promptly.

If you thought only Honda made lawn mowers, think again. Little known fact: Yamaha makes a limited supply of uber high-end grass cutters every year, and they even come with an operator. In this case, none other than former MotoGP champion, Jorge Lorenzo, seen here landscaping the grounds at the Valencia circuit.

Maverick Vinales Quits Blusens Avintia Moto3 Team

Fri, 19 Oct 2012

Maverick Vinales seems to be living up to his name, announcing he is leaving the Blusens Avintia team despite sitting second in the Moto3 World Championship with three rounds to go. Vinales traveled with the team to Sepang for the upcoming Malaysian Grand Prix but did not take part in Free Practice and later announced the split. You may remember Vinales from last season when he raced in the former 125cc Grand Prix World Championship for the Paris Hilton-sponsored Blusens-BQR team.

Honda Fury Special Edition Controversy?

Fri, 17 Jul 2009

It seems the idea that there is a “special edition” Honda Fury has achieved urban-legend levels. Motorcycle.com recently spoke to Jon Seidel of American Honda to clarify some of the controversy generated in www.furyforums.com regarding a special edition Fury model. According to Seidel, no mention was ever made to the media during the Fury’s press unveiling or in any press material or at any other time, “that any Fury color or specific Fury model was a special edition.” Seidel stated that he also queried Honda’s product planning department about the existence of any special edition models and reported that no information had ever been released or implied from Honda Product Planning as to the existence of a Fury SE.
