Honda CB description

This little Honda looks like it just popped out of a time capsule. Really clean, no rotted, rusted, broken, or missing parts. Its all there! The bike had been well kept and hardly ever ridden up to around 1996. It then went into a fantastic dry storage and was kept out of harms way. I brought it out of storage and gave it a lot of love, and labor cleaning it up and getting it 100% ready for the road again. The fuel tank interior has been cleaned to the bare metal and coated with POR15 tank sealing process. New fuel petcock filters and lines. The carbs have been ultrasonically cleaned and rebuilt. Points cleaned and adjusted, new plugs and a fresh battery. Starts immediately off the starter, and within one or two kicks. New fork seals and fresh fork oil. New brake pads and fresh fluid.
The chrome is really nice, both rims look like brand new. Spokes are shinny and no rust. I have not put new rubber on them. I figure the new owner can make that selection. Tires look good but I'm sure that they are a bit hard because of there age. New rubber should be mounted up before ant serious road riding.
A new headlight assembly was installed with a Halogen H4 35w/35w bulb. Big improvement from the dim stock unit. All electrical components work great.
The paint is in fantastic condition but there is a really small ding on the tank that is barely visible. Wear and tear from the 70's.
The motor is strong with perfect compression. Very little valve noise. no smoke ,
Both exhaust assemblies are like new. No dents scratches or dings. The bars have been changed to a bit lower version with new grips.
This bike is a true survivor. Ready to go.

EICMA 2013: 2014 Honda CBR1000RR First Impressions – Video

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

It may not have a fancy electronics suite like many of its rivals, but the Honda CBR1000RR has long been one of our favorite literbikes due to its light and nimble handling combined with strong, accessible torque. For 2014, Honda is upping the ante with the CBR1000RR SP edition. No, it still doesn’t have any electronic aids, but it does have a bevy of top shelf suspension components.

2014 AMA Supercross – Seattle Results

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Ryan Villopoto won his fifth race of the season while James Stewart took second place to just barely remain in contention for the 2014 AMA Supercross title. Meanwhile it was a bitter-sweet podium for third-place finisher KTM‘s Ryan Dungey who was officially mathematically eliminated from title contention. Racing in his home town of Seattle, Wash., Villopoto led every lap en route to an easy win, his fifth of the season.
