Honda CB description

Low Reserve Auction

Up for your consideration is a 1974 Honda Cb750 cafe racer with 12,800 miles. The bike runs absolutely flawless recently had a brand-new electronic ignition installed to get away from the old style points system. Tires are in excellent condition it has a front slotted brake rotor as well as the four into one exhaust which has little nice low growl. All fluids were flushed around 500 miles ago and I recently put a brand-new dry cell battery last week. Bikes charging system works great and all electronics as far as turn signals headlights horn and electric start all work flawlessly. The bike does not leak any oil whatsoever and the carburetors have been tuned to run with the pod filters on the bike. The lower forks have been polished as well as the top triple tree and the controls as seen in images. To list some of the small imperfections there's a small hole in the very back of the seat, to fins in the top jug that are broken off, and a few scratches and nicks in the gas tank as side covers. I do not have a problem storing the bike while the buyer arranges shipping. I also have factory rear pegs for the bike so whoever purchased could ride doubles. They're not shown in any of the images. I am offering this bike at a low reserve. Please view all my images as there are small imperfections here and there on the bike I do encourage all bitters to come down and view the bike them self or send a local mechanic to come over and do so on your behalf. Thank you and happy bidding. For questions I can be reached at 619-818-4434

Day 1 Dakar 2014: Barreda Draws First Blood

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Team HRC’s Joan Barreda on the Honda CRF450 Rally, got off to a storming start in day one of the 2014 Dakar rally, clocking up the fastest time of all the 175 riders at the first time-check. The former Husqvarna rider who moved to Honda in the middle of the season inaugurated his 2014 Dakar with an acrobatic performance. The motorcycle competition was expected to be wide open, and that is indeed what the classification shows after the opening stage. It was a very early start for the Rally Dakar. The pack of riders headed off at four in the morning on a long 251 miles that took them towards the vibrant city of Rosario for the start of the 112 mile special.

Shunji Yokokawa

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

Honda Project Leader Shunji Yokokawa's first Honda bike was a CB900, which he got when he was a teenager after seeing Freddie Spencer wheeling his way down the Laguna's Corkscrew.Yokokawa has been in the States himself recently, having travelled to the Bonneville Salt Flats to break a world land speed record for a stock 600cc motorcycle.According to the Southern California Timing Association website (you'd have thought the video might have mentioned something about the record?), Shunji was successful in his attempt during August's 'Speed Week', setting an official speed of 170.828mph onboard a CBR600RR.

AMA Supercross: 2012 New Orleans Results

Mon, 16 Apr 2012

Ryan Villopoto has already secured the 2012 AMA Supercross Championship but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to let up and take it easy over the remainder of the season. The Monster Energy Kawasaki racer clinched his second consecutive title two weeks ago in Houston, Texas, but he continued his dominance in AMA Supercross’ return to New Orleans’ Superdome, taking the holeshot and leading all 20 laps for his ninth win of the season in 14 rounds. The New Orleans round may have lacked some big names currently nursing injuries such as Ryan Dungey, James Stewart and Chad Reed, but Villopoto provided a star effort in the first AMA Supercross race in the city since 2009.
