1973 Honda CB350 Cafe Racer
1973 Honda CB350 Cafe Racer. I'm selling it for $3,400 OBO. That's a small price to pay to become instantly awesome.
Ready to start my next build. My manliness demands it. Therefore I must part with this labor of love. But unlike my ex-wife I will actually miss this once it's gone.
Features of this sweet ride:
- Regularly serviced and maintained since I bought it a couple years ago. Used Grandpa's Shop (now closed) and Hammet's Garage on Olsen in Tucson. Full tune up less than 50 miles ago including plug replacement, oil change, chain replacement (now in demon red!), and carb adjustment.
- Started with a full stock bike in perfect shape. No bard find or rusty junker here.
- Tank is from a 1969-69 CB350. Professionally cleaned and re-sealed by Precision Engineering here in Tucson. Knee pad rubber in great shape for its age; still supple. I coated them in Plasti-Dip to stop any sun damage. In case you don't know, plasti-dip peels off without damage. But you should know this already since you're into customization or why else would you be here? Answer: you wouldn't.
- Battery hidden under the seat. Still a full sized battery so no worries about the electrical draining it. New rectifier too.
- Keyster KH1200 carb rebuild kits used on the carbs. Yep, the good ones, no skimping on those. Jetted properly. Pod style air filters installed.
- European low wattage small style headlight used.
- Clip-on handlebars used with wiring hidden in them.
- Forks rebuilt a little over a year ago. Fork boots installed. Forks lowered slightly at the tree only, thus easily reversible.
- BMW Hella style bar end blinkers. Extra bulbs are included - these bulbs generally require overseas ordering so this will save you hella time. Get it? I used hella twice. And if you don't think that's funny well then that's just sad.
- Owned by childless, pet-less adult. No peelouts or racing done on this, just boring old man riding.
- Custom curved license plate bracket with custom led plate lights. Looks awesome at night, or during an eclipse, or during any form of sky-darkening apocalypse.
- Custom made exhaust heat shields.
- Custom made rear mud guard and shaved front mudguard.
- Single mini white face speedometer with led headlight, neutral and blinker indicators. Speedometer is geared correctly for the bike, using the 2240:60 ratio.
- New black rear shocks.
- Wheels coated in plastidip for that nightrider feel. By that I mean the feeling you get when you pretend to be David Hasslehoff. Not the german singing version but the old cool one from the tee-vees. The plastidip is, again, easily removable if you hate the 'Hoff.
- All mechanical and electronics function, including kick and electric start, except for the listed items below.
Defects of this bike:
- High beam not connected.
- The fork boots, which after install I found out are cheap and tear easily but have been mended with liquid rubber so function fine. But you may want to replace them.
- Mileage is not correct. True mileage is unknown.
- This is a 40 year old bike with a 40 year old engine. While it runs perfectly do not expect it to be a new bike and do expect 40 year old Honda CB style engine problems.
Other items included with this bike:
- Electronic versions of two CB350 professional shop manuals on a CD.
- Sweet rocket shaped tire stem ends.
- A box of various parts and items including a gasket kit, an alternator, and a Clymer's or Chilton's manual (I forget which). All the above will be mailed to you at no extra cost.
Additional details:
- I accept paypal or cash only.
- $200 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT will be required via paypal within 48 hours after auction ends. The remaining balance will be required within 7 days after auction ends.
- Bike is for sale locally on Craigslist for cheaper so I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time.
- I will store the bike free of charge for no more than 2 weeks after full payment has been received so that you can have time to arrange to pick the bike up. To help calculate shipping keep in mind bike is located in Tucson, AZ 85719. I will not crate the bike but I will assist within reason to help deliver this bike to you. The bike is also open for inspection by either yourself or someone representing you, just contact me before hand so we can arrange a time so I can be here to show it to you. Do you have questions or want more specific pics? All you have to do is ask.

Showdown: 2021 Honda CRF300L Vs 2021 Kawasaki KLX300
Fri, 04 Mar 2022Entry-level, exit-level, and all points in between Credit: Photos by Evans Brasfield; Video by: Sean Matic | Videos by Sean Matic Honda’s first CL72 250 Scrambler was lashed to the bumper of many a Conestoga wagon as it made its way westward, and I’m pretty sure it was a Kawasaki KLX300 that I wheelied over backwards, circa 1997, that really dampened my enthusiasm for stunting. At least Honda’s had the decency to change its nomenclature over the years to give the impression of evolution. Kawasaki is standing pat with the 292 cc Single that’s powered its KLX since 1996, along with its KLX nomenclature.
Team Mugen Returning to TT Zero with Shinden 2
Fri, 08 Feb 2013Noted Honda tuner Mugen announced it will compete in the 2013 TT Zero on the Isle of Man with an updated version of its Shinden electric sportbike. Mugen entered the Shinden at last year’s TT Zero, with Isle of Man veteran John McGuinness finishing second with an average speed of 102.215 mph. Team Mugen managed to break the 100mph barrier but fell short to the race winner Michael Rutter who rode the MotoCzysz E1PC.
GSX-R600 and CBR250R the glass is half full
Wed, 13 Oct 2010Suzuki’s GSX-R600 might not look that much different to the outgoing model but I suspect this bike could be very much a dark horse in 2011. I say this because two years ago I was definitely not building my hopes up en route to the K9 GSXR 1000 launch. The leaked pictures suggested the biggest change from the 2007 version would be some fresh graphics but I was so wrong. As it turned out, I was greeted in Almeria with a brand new bike, built from the tarmac up and it proved to be more than a match in every department for the much hyped 2009 Yamaha R1.
