                                                                                      1973 Honda CB500 K2

Amazing bike!! Complete original vintage CB500 with 2,225 original miles from 2 owners.  You probably won't find another like it.  It still has all the yellow paint markings on the brake caliper, brake hose seals and rear brake (see pictures)........ original decals, tires, everything.  Even the air filter is like new!!!   The bike is not restored!!   This is truly an original vintage time warp.   CLEAR ORIGINAL MICHIGAN TITLE!!!

If you are a serious Honda collector, then quite possibly you need this CB500 for your collection?  It has been in a heated museum since 1977 and only started once in a while.  Even the red paint on the tach is not faded!!   The paint is virtually flawless.  The chrome exceptional.  The seat looks new!!   The bike has been in the museum so it will need you to do a few things to it before you ride it, such as I would just clean the tank and carbs to make sure there is no residual dirt.  Truthfully, in my opinion, this Honda needs to stay in a museum and not be ridden around and gotten all road worn, however, the buyer can do as they wish once it leaves here.

I really appreciate your bids and your interest in owning a piece of Honda history.

Honda Reports Q2 2011-2012 Results – Record Motorcycle Sales While Auto Sales Plummet

Mon, 31 Oct 2011

Honda reports a 20.0% year-on-year increase in motorcycle and ATV sales over the second quarter ended Sept. 30, 2011. Despite a record second quarter for motorcycle sales, Honda saw a drop in net profit due to struggling auto sales and the aftereffects of the Japanese earthquake in March and flooding in Thailand.

Mystic Mac's 2014 MotoGP predictions

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

There is no real off season in Moto GP.  Although we complain about being starved of racing, for those at the sharp end, in little more than two months they have new bikes to assemble, team staff to put in place and sponsors to nail down that will pay for it all.  This time frame is also tight for riders, as it seems more every year go straight under the surgeon’s knife after the last round and spend the short winter recuperating for the season ahead. The 2014 Moto GP championship looks like a cracker as apart from the ten full factory riders we now have at least eight non factory riders with properly competitive machinery.  We also have five Brits on the grid, two with podium potential.  Whatever happens though (providing you have BT Sport) you can just sit back and enjoy watching the incredible Marc Marquez do things that shouldn’t be possible. Speaking of whom, I didn’t believe a Rossi replacement would come this soon.  And when I say replacement, I mean a rider that is the full package.  Although in some ways quite different to Vale, he’s an equally phenomenal talent plus a very likeable character that appeals to the masses and although respectful to his rivals off track, deadly competitive in the heat of battle.  Being young and good looking he’s obviously a dream for sponsors and the sport in general.  Marquez has evolved in his own way but thankfully into a perfect replacement for our sport when the VR steps down.

475cc NS400R. Marquez and Spencer.

Winter may be here but I seem to be as busier than ever, maybe the economy is finally turning around. At my last UK track day of the year I had some fun testing this little beauty.  It’s a late eighties NS400 triple bored out to 475cc and it felt sweet as I zinged round the GP Arena track at Silverstone.   Being stripped bare to reduce weight gives it a very respectable power to weight ratio which means it could live with 600s (on the twisty bits at least).
