Honda CB tech info
Honda CB description
This bike is very unique. The Candy Orange is a 1969 SL100 factory color, I just liked it better than any of the 750 colors & it was different. The wheels are from a Japanese company in the 1970's with matching paint. The engine has less than 100 miles on a complete rebuild including a fresh 836cc top end. The exhaust is a used Kerker but it's in very good condition with baffle installed, I wanted to hear the exhaust but not too loud, it's throaty but won't get you in trouble with the law. The wiring is all brand new including the switches. I wired it as a K0/K1 which is much simpler and more reliable. The tires are brand new Bridgestone S-11 Spitfires. I kept the wheels at the original 19" Front & the rear is an 18", I wanted to keep the original geometry. I worked for Honda dealers more than 35 years as a mechanic/service manager and really fell in love with the CB750. The engine was taken completely apart for cleaning & painting. The cases are high temp black & baked on The Cylinders & head are black with the head fins polished. I installed all new hardware on the engine, case bolts, engine cover screws. The covers were professionally polished & have no defects. There are no leaks, all gaskets & seals have been replaced. I am a freeway man & built this bike for long distances, with the extra power of the 836cc kit I installed a 17 tooth front sprocket and a 40 tooth rear so on the freeway at 60 MPH it only turns 3500 RPM with plenty of power but if you want the original sprockets I'll install them at no cost. The front forks are from a 1978 K because the front caliper has a larger piston & stops much better But I kept the boots & installed new K2 headlight holders. The handlebars are Genuine Honda K0/K1 bars which are perfect for putting on many miles, They are not too high but very comfortable. All cables are new. The rear fender & tail light is new and from a K0/K1 again, mainly because they look better and there is no ugly grab rail, instead I installed a second lift holder on the right side for attaching bungee cords. This bike runs so good, better than it looks. In the few miles I have ridden it, every time I stop people have to ask many questions & it gets a lot of attention everywhere I go. I have not put a reserve on it, only a low starting bid. The paint alone cost more than $2000. The tank has no rust inside, it's perfect inside with no creams or anything, just the way it was when new. New Battery & strap. Just tuned with rebuilt carburetors with carb kits installed, all new genuine Honda 5.5mm fuel line also. If you win the auction & live in Southern California bring you helmet because this bike is ready to ride...it needs nothing. Even the Forks have new seals so there is nothing to do but have fun. One last thing, I have the bike non-opped so there is no penalties or back tags. I can be reached any time at home & my phone # is 951-943-5599 ask for Dennis for any questions. If you were wondering, I have not altered the frame in any way, all tabs are in place even the center stand mounts are in place if you decided to install one, I didn't because I wanted the cleanest look I could get. Thanks for looking

Bradl's Red Bull Honda for Indy
Fri, 17 Aug 2012At the Indianapolis MotoGP Stefan Bradl's LCR Honda will be sporting this one-off Red Bull livery. The MotoGP rookie has been impressive so far in his debut year with a fantastic riding style. So hopefully he'll continue his run of form and encourage the energy drink giant to stay on board, as the colours look smart on the Honda RC213V.
