Honda CB description
2 Honda CB 350's For one price(2 for 1)1971 & 1972. Straight out of the 1970's looks. They have been in storage for a few years. Lets start with the 1971(red one). It Has only 2,178 miles, and it shows. Original red paint and original seat and exhaust, with no rot. Chrome all over bike is very nice. Kicks over nice, and clutch and throttle cable are free. Goes through gears nice and nice period ape hanger handlebars. Very nice looking and original. Left side cover looks to have been repainted at some point. Fuel tank should be cleaned before starting. Glass on clocks is cracked, needs a headlight ,left front blinker lens, battery and front brake lever. Very nice tires and back taillight lens has a hairline crack. Could have it running in a few hours to a day or two. Made in 10/71. The 1972 (orange one) won' t kick over(it did when I stored it)still has oil in it. It has only 11,370 miles. This one is not bad looking either but will need some work. Paint is faded ,and has dent in tank, it is missing left side cover, right front blinker lens, and front brake caliper is missing and wrong master cap. Seat is original but has some age as seen in pictures, back tire is original and weather cracked and taillight lens is broken. Has nice exhaust and cool vintage period sissy bar. Front tire is nice. Both bikes have their original tool kits. Still looking for the keys. But can be made easily. Built in 7/72. They are both sold with bills of sale and don't have titles. Maine does not require titles with any motor vehicle over 15 years . I bought these as a pair ,and I am selling them that way. They are sold as is where is with no warranty. No reserve and will be sold to highest bidder. Bidders with 10 under feedbacks need to contact me first before bidding, otherwise I will ignore your bid. To many non paying bidders in the past. Buyer rsponsible for shipping and/or pickup. I will help load. Payment required 5 to 7 days after auction ends, and would like bikes to be picked up one week after auction ends. If more time needed, call me or email me for other arrangemants. 207-752-4680. No paypal on this transaction. Payments accepted are Money orders, bank and cashiers checks once cleared and of course cash. Questions, please ask.

Looking after number 1
Fri, 06 Jan 2012There was a time when a rider’s number indicated his position from the previous season, with the ultimate accolade being the number 1 emblazoned on the front of the champion's bike. The rise of branding in MotoGP and a rider wanting to market themselves, born from Barry Sheene and his retention of no.7, saw riders decide against displaying their finish from the year before. Rossi, who on winning his numerous championships, stuck with his famous #46 in defence of his titles, instead of stamping a great number 1 on his bikes.
