Honda CA description

Up for auction is an unrestored, original 1966 Honda CA160 Dream. Starts easily and runs great. Bike has 8,090 miles. The bike was purchased new in Forte Wayne, Indiana. Exhaust is amazing with no rust or holes. This Dream has original tires and will need replaced. I have been riding on the tires, but they are weather cracked. The paint shines great, but does have a couple blemishes. The seat is like new. The inside of the tank is clean. The engine is clean with no leaks. Fresh oil change and new battery. All electrical works as it should. The transmission shifts smoothly with zero issues. Gauges still shine well. No fading. Always stored indoors. The bike has kickstart and electric start. The engine does not smoke or make odd noises. All around great looking bike. Ready to ride! Again, I mention the tires will replaced soon. All chrome is in good shape, including the wheels and spokes. The bike has been ridden and does have very minor signs of wear, but still very, very nice Honda Dream! Clean Indiana title, original from 1966. This is a one owner bike and the condition reflects just that.

Vin # 1003662

This bike has just been restored by a certified mechanic. The carbs have been cleaned, points set, valves adjusted, and timing set.

Good luck bidding!!!!!

GSX-R600 and CBR250R the glass is half full

Wed, 13 Oct 2010

Suzuki’s GSX-R600 might not look that much different to the outgoing model but I suspect this bike could be very much a dark horse in 2011. I say this because two years ago I was definitely not building my hopes up en route to the K9 GSXR 1000 launch. The leaked pictures suggested the biggest change from the 2007 version would be some fresh graphics but I was so wrong.  As it turned out, I was greeted in Almeria with a brand new bike, built from the tarmac up and it proved to be more than a match in every department for the much hyped 2009 Yamaha R1.

Pata Honda To Test ‘Speed Gene’ At Jerez

Tue, 01 Apr 2014

This just in from the Pata Honda World Superbike team: The Pata Honda team has announced the introduction of a nepotistic youth policy designed to enhance development and ensure continuity of its world championship racing program. On tomorrow’s third and final day of the World Superbike championship test currently taking place at Jerez in Spain, regular riders Leon Haslam and Jonathan Rea will hand over their Honda CBR1000RR SP racing machines to their respective young sons. Despite being less than a year old, Max Haslam and Jake Rea are deemed to have inherited sufficient quantities of the so-called ‘speed gene’ to warrant a full test on the sophisticated production race bikes.

The North East,Prescott and fast laps with Chris Walker at Mallory

Thu, 26 Apr 2012

A big thanks to all at Newcastle Motorcycles for lending me a Honda CB1000F on Saturday to do nothing other than join mates for a blast round some fantastic roads in the North East. The buddies in question were Alan Smith (Bradley’s dad) and two stroke addict and race fan Chris Berriman. We headed east over the moors from the ‘Toon’ heading towards Barnard Castle then back through Consett before finishing up at the picturesque Tynemouth.
