For sale is my 1982 Yamaha Virago cafe racer. I built this for myself, but some personal issues have come up and now the bike is for sale. It runs great, and has recently had the engine swapped from a 1982 XV750 to a 1992 XV1100; hence why it is listed as a 1982 XV1100 (even though they don't exist.) Customization include: PWK 32MM Carburetors High-Compression XV1100 Engine (920 heads) Dime City Cycles headlight Hand built subframe from cold rolled steel tubing.

Up for sale is a beautifully restored 1982 Virago 750 Cafe Racer. The bike runs and handles great and sounds mean. The engine works perfectly, and the brakes are fairly new and there is a BMW battery installed on the bike with extension cable for a battery tender. The front tire is brand new and the rear tire is about 70%.

Motorcycle has a new stator, recitifier, new set of tires, and front brake. Starts right up but after it warms up it starts to stall. I was told it just needs the carbs cleaned out, but I have no idea.

A Different Bike Magazine

Thu, 12 Feb 2009

Motorcycle Retro is a pet project of former Motorcyclist editor Mitch Boehm, launching as Motorcyclist Retro in early 2008 under the Source Interlink media umbrella. It featured a contemporary look at motorcycles of the 1960s through the 1980s. However, the circulation numbers of MR didn’t meet the expectations of the media conglomerate, and they cancelled production of the magazine after just two issues.
