1972 Yamaha XS650 for sale. This bike is original paint and in pretty solid condition for its age. It starts easily , runs good , and shifts through the gears.

It is with great remorse that I am selling my nearly stock 1972 Yamaha XS 650, with 18,400 original miles. The bike is in good shape mechanically, cosmetically it is not perfect. Here is the situation: The bike was recently dropped when I was run off the road a low speed into a ditch.

This bike being sold as is.  Has been in storage for more than 25 years.  Needs full restoration.  It is a complete Yamaha 650 XS2.  Originally owned new by my brother.  I bought from him in 1974 and have owned it since.  It has not been ran since 1987.   It includes a clear title.  All shipping or pick up of this motorcycle is the responsibility of the buyer.  All taxes, title transfer fees, shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Nice original condition Yamaha XS2 for sale.   This bike has been my daily rider for the past eight years. Has all the upgrades...including pamco ignition, new coils, halogen headlight, new tapered head bearings, new bronze swing arm bushings, and new reproduction shocks.  Nice original paint (one ding in the tank), nice set of original mufflers, seat is a reproduction.   This is a "turn key bike" as they say, and you will be able to get right on it and ride it. I also have a clear title for the bike in my name.

 Back for auction again after not reaching the reserve, new reserve.  I have gone completely through this bike to ensure that the timing is right and the carbs have been redone, basically I've ensured that all the little things that make a bike like this sit are now operable.  I have the original air box, guages and bars for those who wish to restore.  The brakes are in good shape and the bike runs very well.  I also have a new interstate battery that was put bought in August.  The only thing that is eluding my repair is the flasher relay, I replaced it and the blinkers light up just won't flash.

This came to us with gas running out the carbs.... we cleaned the carbs to get it running properly, ran it around for a bit, and gave it a bath.  The bike comes with a clean open title and one key.

For sale, 1972 Yamaha XS-2 650; red and white..........original factory paint; very low mileage--8,758 original miles.  Mileage may go up a little bit from moving it around (rode it back to the garage after we took pictures). This motorcycle runs great.  The electric start and kick start both work.  All lights and turn signals work. I put this motorcycle on the road in 2009 and my wife rode it for one summer riding season here in New York state.
