Harley-Davidson VRSC description

This bike is fully customized and LOADED with Harley Davidson custom products.  I am moving out of the show bike class and getting a full dresser for longer trips across country.  This bike is a pampered, garaged full-time, rarely ridden show quality bike.  The paint was done out of Ron's Toy Box in Iowa (Top Custom Harley Davidson shop) as was the majority of the rest of the customization.

As you can see from the pictures there is nothing left to chrome.  The wheels have had a full chroming that involved sending the originals to California and it's got Vance and Hinds "longshots" that make the sound unlike any other bike.  A very, very deep and throaty exhaust system means that this bike sounds better than any other I've heard.  When I fire it up at a show or around town all conversations stop and heads turn.  Front and rear fiberglass custom fenders are wide.  Front fender is done off the specs from a FLS and the rear is a wider, custom version of the same.

The footpegs, throttle, handlebar brakes, trim, custom license plate frame that houses the brake lights, radiator cover....literally everything is chrome.  There is also a "quick detach" full windshield with custom painted flames to match the bike which is included in the sale.

Very low miles, only driven on nice days and kept around town.  Brakes are new, tires new, oil just changed last week and all service up-to-date.  Battery tender and new helmet included! This is a very fast motorcycle and is best reserved for an experienced owner!

A great piece of machinery!

Blues Brothers Too Old for Harley-Davidson 110th Anniversary Celebration?

Fri, 10 May 2013

Comedian Dan Aykroyd says he offered to bring his Blues Brothers act to Harley-Davidson‘s 110th Anniversary celebrations but was turned down because H-D executives said the act was too old for the company’s target demographics. Aykroyd, playing the role of Elwood J. Blues with the late John Belushi playing “Joliet” Jake Blues, posted a statement on his official Facebook page suggesting Elwood is trading in his Harley-Davidson motorcycle for a Can-Am Spyder.

Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed

Thu, 04 Aug 2011

The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.
