But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. The ride will start at Bartels’ Harley-Davidson in Marina Del Rey, California and end at Sycamore Cove State Beach in Malibu, where guests will be treated to lunch and a concert by Alchemy. Riders of all makes and models are welcome to join.

Harley-Davidson‘s Stereotypical Harley campaign became a big part of the company’s advertising efforts in 2012, featuring real Harley-Davidson owners and showcasing the large diversity of its riders. Fighting against preconceptions can be difficult but Harley-Davidson has some numbers to prove its motorcycles are popular with other demographics including young adults, women and minorities.
