Perfect in its original brushed metal look, it gets nine glittering new shades to choose from for 2005. The one-of-a-kind, hydro-formed frame recently got a boost in eye appeal with a new silver-leaf coating. The aggressive look keeps rolling with a 49mm 38° raked fork, a 180mm rear tire, solid disc wheels and a sweeping exhaust system that’s out of this world. At the center is the liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 60° V-Twin Revolution powertrain with 115 horsepower and enough torque to counterpunch the earth’s rotation. It all leads to the jaw-dropping combination of power and beauty you see here. V-Rod also gets a new stiffer rear axle, for when a wandering road wants to show you a good time. Mon, 13 Jan 2014In February, Bohnams auction house in Paris will allow both the Catholic and the Harley faithful to bid on a Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide owned by none other than Pope Francis, himself. Given to the Pope last year as part of the Harley-Davidson 110th anniversary celebration, the bike was unlikely to become the Popecycle because of the security required to protect the pontiff. The Pope donated the Dyna to the Roman Catholic charity Caritas Roma but not before signing the tank with “Francesco” at a special ceremony at the Vatican last November.
AMA Pro Racing Announces Basic Twins Flat Track Class for 2014 Season
Fri, 12 Apr 2013AMA Pro Racing announced a new class for Flat Track racing designed to provide a new stepping stone for up-and-coming Pro-licensed racers, replacing the Pro Singles class in 2014. The new class, to be called Basic Twins, is more or less a revival of the Basic Expert Twins division that ran during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but dropped when the Pro Singles class was introduced for 2009. The new class will give young racers a chance to showcase their skills on Twins, easing their transition to eventually enter the Grand National Expert Twins class.
