Perfect in its original brushed metal look, it gets nine glittering new shades to choose from for 2005. The one-of-a-kind, hydro-formed frame recently got a boost in eye appeal with a new silver-leaf coating. The aggressive look keeps rolling with a 49mm 38° raked fork, a 180mm rear tire, solid disc wheels and a sweeping exhaust system that’s out of this world. At the center is the liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 60° V-Twin Revolution powertrain with 115 horsepower and enough torque to counterpunch the earth’s rotation. It all leads to the jaw-dropping combination of power and beauty you see here. V-Rod also gets a new stiffer rear axle, for when a wandering road wants to show you a good time. Additionally, Orlando Harley-Davidson becomes the newest exhibitor to join AIMExpo, which will host nearly 500 powersports companies from around the world October 16-19 at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). The presence of the Harley-Davidson brand at AIMExpo for the first time adds to the growing excitement surrounding the 2014 event, now less than a month away.
Harley-Davidson Hires ex-GM Engineer Federico
Thu, 08 May 2014Harley-Davidson has hired a former General Motors engineer and executive, most recently recognized for leading the automaker’s internal investigation of its ignition switch fiasco that resulted in a recall of 2.6 million vehicles. Jim Federico retired from GM on May 5 after working in various roles with the company over nearly four decades, most recently as executive director of global vehicle integration. Federico will join Harley-Davidson on June 2 as vice president of engineering.
