Harley-Davidson VRSC description
Hi Folks! I'll first say, feel free to call me @ 601-466-4790 if you want to talk to me about this bike or any further questions. I know pretty much everything there is to know about this particular bike. I bought this bike brand new. This was a CVO bike Harley made in the VRod in 2005 and 2006. The differences in the two years were paint schemes and the 06' had the wider back tire. Harley has not produced the Screamin Eagle from CVO again. Odd. I am selling the bike because I just don't ride anymore. That simple.
History - so says Harley Davidson, in the 2005 model, supposedly there were roughly 2400 of these units produced. I dug up that around 2333 were built and that number was in the (3) color schemes. There were 1037 of the Orange/Black, 790 of the light/dark Candy Cherry and 446 of the light/dark blue. So you have to make your own decisions on what to believe for those numbers. These bikes were hard to come by at the time or it was for me , they went quick and I paid MSRP for it which was $25,495.00 plus tax and interest of course. This bike has a few options. The first is the Screamin Eagle Exhaust System. Harley couldn't sell the performance exhaust on the bike so you had to buy it after the sale. Along with that come a flash card that has a software program Harley programmed into the bike to crank up the Horsepower. I have the set of original pipes that came on it. They look the same just the internals are stock. The Screamin Eagle performance set on it now is engraved as such. All that ran another $1000.00. The other is I put the White LED taillight. There are other options Harley offered for it but I kept it simple. I'm a bugs in your teeth type rider so I did not add other options to make it look like a touring bike, which you can do. The bike has been well maintained by Harley Dealers but with 6717 miles, with the proper maintenance schedule. I use everything that Harley recommends for it. It requires Screamin Eagle Synthetic Oil. This bike cranks right up and runs like the day I bought it. It is blistering fast. The cosmetic defects are at the 5 Spoke Reactor Wheels. Though the bike has always been garaged, changes in temperature/light moisture caused flaking of the chrome mainly in corners of the spokes and the main hubs but the flaking does not stand out and there is chrome flaking on the lower triple tree which you cannot see unless you lay on the ground and look. I believe some of the triple tree pits are from rocks. I took some photos so hopefully you can decide for yourself. However, the wheels will not rust because they are aluminum. There are no problems with the paint or any type fading or defects. The back tire has about 150 miles on it. The front tire looks good but is the original and could be replaced if one wanted to but the bike can be ridden no problem. There is no dry rotting. It has the Harley Davidson Battery Tender and the plug installed on the bike. Just plug it up and your charging. I just had it serviced to ensure its ready to go and a new battery put in it so it will be in tip top condition. I have the receipts. Only other issue it has ever had is the bike has (2) auxiliary cooling fans. The fans don't run all the time, just when the bike gets to a certain temperature like sitting at a redlight but more often in hotter months. One quit but they come paired so they were $250.00 plus $200.00 labor to put on so I replaced both. The extended warranty was expired by then. I have those receipts as well and just had that done. I have all the original paperwork for the bike since new. Bill of sale etc. See photos. Some of the photos will depict the wheels as mentioned. Two things I don't have for it that came with the bike is the CVO cover and the commemorative gold key. I do have both key fobs and keys. I bought new Fobs from Harley and had them programed to the bike. The others were just worn some so I decided to sell it with new ones. The bike came from Harley with a Security System so that is what they are for. I also have the supplement service manual and the VRSC Series service manual that altogether was another $150.00. I had the bike appraisal done at the Harley Dealer just before listing it on ebay to check against NADA. Not a trade-in appraisal but what they would sell the bike for and they said $9945.00. There are some of these bikes around and on eBay right now. I think I'm priced fair for a private seller so thanks for reading if you made it this far. I'm taking offers but please do not submit ridiculous offers to me unless of course they are more than what I'm asking...LOL. If you live within 150 mile radius, I can accommodate the delivery to you. |
