Harley-Davidson VRSC description

Limited Edition 100th anniversary Harley Davidson VROD in mint condition, collector quality and mileage. Garage kept & covered, rarely ridden. Starts & idles smoothly, full power in all RPM ranges, just like a new bike, has only 1,732 miles.

A heavily badged Anniversary model, showing no signs of abuse, drop or damage, has had two adult owners.  All features and systems are working correctly. No modifications, all H-D parts except added fuel controller. Now has fresh correct tires, spark plugs & coils, coolant, oil & filter.  Engine guard bars and vinyl wrapped hard bags as installed by the factory. New VROD Super Sport windshield with anniversary badge just added.

H-D's answer to imported sport bikes, with a water cooled Porsche designed engine.  A forward control sport cruiser with belt drive and touring options makes this a practical all-day ride that gives excellent road performance.

The classic VROD anodized, lightweight, all aluminum body, and frame gives this bike a dry weight of only 595 lbs, and it's paired up with a 115 horsepower fuel injected, freshly tuned, high RPM engine.  VROD’s are the fastest stock model in today’s Harley Davidson product line, and they were in 2003 too.

MSRP base was $16,999 without the optional engine guard bars, sport windshield, passenger backrest, and covered hard bags.  The as-delivered price was closer to $19,000.  The stock exhaust is quiet, but strong sounding.   BIN price includes the originally installed H-D accessory Screaming Eagle straight shot mufflers.  A Dynatek fuel injection controller is installed and ready for use with these H-D performance pipes.

Anniversary badging:

  • Fuel Tank
  • Super Sport windshield
  • Riders seat
  • Passenger seat back rest
  • Engine block casting
  • Vinyl covered hard bags have stylized H-D badging

Factory battery tender with pre-wired connection and dust cover for winter storage included.

Condition details: A few very minor storage scuffs on the hard bags and one small repairable cut in the covering located down low on the left.

Available for inspection and pick up near major interstate highway in central New Jersey.  Will assist your shipper, if necessary.

Title in hand, cash or cleared cashiers check only, no zero or negative feedback bidders, call 609-443-8642 after 5 pm weekdays with questions.

Dave Grohl Drums to the Sound of a Harley-Davidson Motorcycle

Fri, 31 Jul 2009

I’ve got a lot of respect for Dave Grohl.  He’s amazingly talented and very driven.  Even after Nirvana, the guy is still kicking and in the spotlight with the Foo Fighters and the millions of other side projects he’s done (ie: Queens of the Stone Age). Apparently he’s also a big motorcycle guy. Harley-Davidson did a little video on Dave, featuring him drumming on a snare drum to the exhaust pipes of a Harley-Davidson.  The seven minute video goes on about how Mr Grohl bought his first motorcycle when the Nirvana album “Nevermind” started to become big.

Ohio Man to be Buried on 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide

Fri, 31 Jan 2014

Billie Leo Standley died last weekend from lung cancer, but before he died, the 82-year-old wished for the world to know he was going to ride off to heaven. To accomplish this wish, Standley and his family made arrangements for him to buried in a Plexiglas casket riding his 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide. Warning: A graphic photograph of Standley in his casket can be viewed on the Dayton Daily Times website.

2023 Harley-Davidson X 350 Revealed for China

Fri, 10 Mar 2023

H-D/QJ Motor connection finally bears fruit Harley-Davidson has officially revealed the X 350 for the Chinese market, a small displacement flat track-inspired roadster produced with Qianjiang Motor (QJ Motor). As of this writing, the X 350 is only confirmed for China, though a modified variant known as the X350RA will be used in Harley-Davidson Rider Academy programs in the U.S. QJ and Harley-Davidson have been working on the X 350 since 2019, though the motorcycle traces its lineage a little earlier to the TNT300 from QJ-owned Benelli.
